So far Feathercoin has picked up a lot of skill and knowledge from the community. This is what has gotten Feathercoin to where it is today. Feathercoin being launched on this forum into this very large community shows what we can do together. I can see now that it would have been much harder for Litecoin to progress, as there were lot fewer of us around back when it was launched. Remember to show Litecoin some love.

We are hoping to get some more expertise on the team and this time it is animation that is required. We do no have any promotional videos or animations so far for Feathercoin and we need that to change.

As this project is a bit more involved than the others the entry period will run from now until 12th May at 06:00UTC and the winner will be announced later in that day.

Please submit your Feathercoin promotional animation or video on this post here or give a link to your work. The entry can be a flash or HTML5 animation, any standard web animation tech is good. It can also be a video that we could post on YouTube or elsewhere. You can make it as large as you want, but bear in mind when you are making it that we may need to resize it later.

I will make sure that all entrants do get some FTC for their contributions.

I could assemble a team of 4 people who study cinema(skills+free equipment) + me, but no one knows much about animation (they can do intro and that kind of stuff, but not the whole story). I would have to talk to them and convince them, since some of them don't know cryptocoins at all.
Anyway: we could initially work privately and with the community on the script. And if they agreed we would move on. If not, someone else could use the script.
Cause, you know: the script is the most important part of this job. You can get the guy who made Brave (pixar) to work for you. But the final result could turn out shit, because of the lack of a good script.
We know video marketing is very good, and I think this is the community interest. It would be dull not to use all of it's power to achieve the best possible script.

I thought Bushstar will take control of this coin seriously But he failed. Price is going down and down.

Any future plan for this coin?

If everyone would rather make this project a big collaboration rather than a competition, I could (and maybe some other generous Feathercoiners) donate coins and the total bounty collected for the project can be distributed among all the contributors proportionate to their efforts/ideas. Maybe assemble a team of people to talk through its process, design, and creation.


Things take time. You can't go from a wannabe to an all-star in a month even. People need to get used to the coin before they accept it. All of us in the community are chipping in some of our time trying to get this and that done in promoting it, myself included. If you have time why not check out the Feathercoin forums and donate some time and brainpower? :) Besides, prices are unpredictable now because they are being controlled by pump and dumpers. There's nothing we can do about it at all if they control the majority of the trade. Until we get some more more merchants to use it, the pump and dumpers will have the majority of Feathercoins. On top of that people who mined a lot are dumping their coins, so it's not bushstar's fault, it's the people who mined to make a quick buck rather than support a viable currency.

You are promoting a copy cat coin, so there needs to be something else happening for mass adoption- simple promotion is not going to cut it.

You need to open stores, gambling, and services... actual uses for Feathercoin other than just exchanging it to other currencies.

You can create a promotional video for a pile of crap, however at the end of the day it is still a pile of crap.

Minor changes to a coin algo is not going to beat a coin that already has a multi-million dollar presence.  So many coins and so many of them add almost nothing, just a slight gimmick to make them different.  Different is not better. 

Litecoin has some good features over BTC, not that I think that its better, but it does fill a void.  Feathercoin does no such thing.  It is basically a clone of Litecoin.
