Title: Too Late to go in on DGB?
Post by: Tolrem on June 09, 2017, 05:40:51 AM
Less interested in an actual answer to that, but more interested in learning. So DGB got pumped hard in the last few hours, but it looks like its coming to end as the sell-wall is massive. So in the short term it would be irrational to go in now? Am I getting the hang of this? Any insight would be grand.

Sell walls don't always mean what they seem. They can get eaten away if there is enough demand for the coin. They can also be fake, put there not to actually sell but intimidate weak hands, perhaps to push the price down so they can get a cheaper price before the real pump. It is too late to get into dgb but it's also not too late, with this much volume, hype, real world usage of the coin, dgb has a future and will go up from here, if no one thought it wouldn't no one would be holding it. Is a matter of time.  I think there is an announcement coming tomorrow so it might pump more then. Or next week, next month. Dgb will have it's ups and downs but in the long term will probably go up.

In the last few hours ?

I made 0.85 BTC in the last five weeks only by waiting  that DigiByte goes higher and he went and went and went.

Long term I'm sure DGB will go up, but isn't the sell wall basically the short term cap if the buy wall is much smaller?

Not always, look where dgb started, it was 7 sats with a 100+ btc sell wall. As a rule it is bad to buy at the top, but someone has to or the coin will never go up. I have successfully bought at the top a few times but it's better to get a good coin you like when it's on a dip. I suggest ark, wings, library at the moment. But also you could buy just about any good coin and hold for a few months and profit in this market. Who knows where bitcoin's growing pains will take us by then. Also keep in mind this recent pump of dgb didn't even reach it's last pump which was it's all time high, so now could be considered a dip in comparison because once it breaches the all time high it will most likely go much higher.

if you have capital and you really want to go in on dgb, then i think you can wait for a moment for the down price but if you are really curious, you can use buy instant but i still not recommended because it could make you get stuck in high price. i am sure that there is a time for the correction price so you can buy dgb in one range of the price but you need to be careful.

If I will buy this coin I will surely not enter now I will wait for the deep before I buy. No one knows if the price of DGB will continue to pump so it's much safer for me if I buy in the deep if I see the price around 1600 sats then I'll enter.

It's not too late for you to get in on the DGB. the best timiing will bring you a good profit from DGB. i can say you must waiting for the price of DGB gets dumped in the future and try to buy a lot of the coin. and keep them on your wallet.

If you are trading in the short term, it will be dump and pump. But if you want long term. I think DGB could still go higher.
they have a great project and I think news of DGB will make price increases. just have patience

Key is to wait but this is not so popular, majority likes more - day tradings where can in few minutes gain profit. Investing on the long run always gets you more profit, but requires strong nerves and stomach.. DGB is for the long run, like majority of good projects..

well like what you have said its a battle between risk taker and weak holders as of this moment we are seeing another jump coming from dgb and its really tempting to place an entry while the value still moving up its just needed a good capital for this one since downfall/correction always there for this type of project.

Really $1? I don't see that happening this year - or the next

I rarely buy a coin that was pumped already, I do when I think the coin really has a potential to have a higher price (active market, dev, supporters). Even though you buy DGB today with the higher price, I think you can earn, but only little by little in doing short trades.

What's up with the massive sell wall in Poloniex even though the volume and DGB/USD has been rising steadily?  ???

If you're looking to hodl long-term, it's not too late. Short term, on the other hand, is where you have to play it by the charts

Sell walls are sometimes fake walls, whales are doing that so people would tend to panic buy or panic sell. But if you take risks then by all means buy them at its current price or value right now and hold them but if you are one of those weak traders, I would suggest you to wait for DGB to dump and buy them at its lowest value.

I agree , some investors try to create panic with sell walls , better to hold for long term and don't fall in the trap

Well I'm glad I didn't buy in, looks like I was right. NBD for vets but I'm glad I'm beginning to recognize trends.

its not a trend , its a pump and dump game . now i think the dump is over , you can buy and hold till the next pump :)

It's interesting,
How to distinguish fake walls or not ?. I often fooled and misplaced buy or sell orders. Confusing and very disturbing.

If you want to be in for the long term then, buy it is as simple as that, even if the coin has gone up in price abruptly you will always have the chance of making a lot of money.
