Install the electrum wallet on your computer and import your private code (private key) into it. One thing to consider is that you might get more than the value of the bitcoin on it if you sell it as is. I think I saw somewhere one sold for 8000 or something. You could have more than your 1BTC in less than a week with an auction that includes a fair starting price and opportunity for people to best that offer. Camolist is selling several 2013 brass 1BTC Casascius coins for 1.3BTC. And obviously many have gone for more than that. Camolist's coins are straight off the roll so presumably top quality for brass. You could even pay someone here to auction it off for you so you don't have to deal with the details and logistics.
