Title: what is the best lite btc wallet?
Post by: freebitcoins4u on June 10, 2017, 07:32:42 AM
hey,

i have so many problems with multibit. i`m looking for lite btc wallet (desktop computer OS windows) that will serve me for few years (i use multibit fo 3 years now).

i mainly need:
fast sync, a way to control transaction fees with no limit, at multibit its 50k satoshi, easy backup and the most important that i will be able to use it in the next few years and will not get stuck again.

thanks!

Electrum (https://electrum.org/)

/thread ;)

i mainly need:
fast sync,
Electrum is SPV and has a very fast syncing process...

Has "Dynamic Fees" to suggest the best fees for fast confirmation (tweakable with a simple slider at transaction creation time)... and you can even set fee manually if you want ultimate control.

easy backup
HD wallet... you just have to "backup" the 12 word seed and you're done ;)

Going to be hard to get any guarantees on this one for any software... Electrum is open source, so even if ThomasV disappears, I'm sure it will live on... it's very popular

You can try Melis Wallet. RC1 has been announced a few days ago, we had very positive feedback. See: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1952287.0

You can have one wallet for all your devices, in which you can create multiple accounts. You can make a savings account, set is as "secure" and it will show only on the primary device (desktop, for example) and hidden from all the others using plausible deniability so it is not possible to know it exists.
