Title: Is Faucet still a thing now?
Post by: puremage111 on June 11, 2017, 07:13:53 AM
Previously there's a time when tons and tons of faucet were made because you could earn great income with it

But after Google Adsense made those site prohibited from placing google ads

Earnings are dropped dramatically.

Then we have a lot of impression base ads like mellowads, coinad, a-ads and so

Currently i only uses freebitcoin, is there any other good faucet you people still using?

Is Faucet still a thing now? the direct answer to this is NO, faucets money session are long gone and you are aware of it, the faucet owners can not afford to pay a good amount due to poor earnings.

freebitcoin is able to pay that much due to the dices game profits.

I do not know any other reliable faucet that pays good amount.

So also with me, So far I have not found yet another faucet site that has a rather large payment may be this started from impact of high btc price factor so that site owner tap a loss.

Faucet websites are no longer profitable but some people claims to be earning a decent amount from faucet rotator which has a good number of faucet websites.

This information might be helpful https://99bitcoins.com/bitcoin-faucets-profit-skyrocket-report/

Freebitco.in and Freedogeco.in are my main legit sites until now. I already give up on claiming satoshis in faucets but still I'm active on promoting my referral link in other forums and different facebook groups. I'm also looking for another trusted faucet sites which you can claim hourly with great rewards. I hope the owner of Freebitco.in will make a clone faucet for Ethereum and Litecoin, perhaps in the upcoming years.

There are still many great faucets left : moonbit.co.in, bonusbitcoin.co, bitfun.co and others. Also, there are hundreds of faucets can be found on Faucethub.io. Offcourse, rewards is lower than in Adsense era. Another reason of much lover rewards is high price of bitcoin. But now there are lot of bitcoin paying ad networks working, also faucets are monetized by popups and url shorteners.

Although it is true now the income from the faucet is very small, given the high bitcoin price. But at least this will be an additional income. Thank you for the information

I do not know the exact reasons that ended faucetbox, but that is surely a sign that the faucet model is not anywhere near the strength it was.  I play with them here and there and faucethub.io has added a few cool things that keep some interest there.  There are rising user levels and a rain feature in the chatbox.

The exact reason is that it was not profitable at all, those were the best days when you started with bitcoin and was really good to earn some coins through faucets if you are able to spend some time, faucetbox was a good service as they had all the sites which used their services.

When the faucet box has closed, I never again look for bitcoin through the faucet despite the many altcoin faucets out there, too tired and very little results we get if we just look for bitcoin from the facuet.

I have not used faucets for a long time because it wastes a lot of time and the results are extremely bad. If you are using bitcoin faucet, it is a terrible idea because of the high fee and slow confirmation. You can not earn anything from that high fee

From faucet-owner point of view: not any more. Because faucets are really a simple business model - giving parts of cents for seeing ads and ads are the only revenue model there. With current BTC price high, respectfully of all alts, this model is not sustainable anymore.

From faucet-user POV: Nope, and never was. There are much more pleasant ways to waste your time. Maybe only for newcomers.

Yes, Faucet is not any more profitable because now there are only a few websites paying on time and rest other are time waste because right now they are paying very less amount and also they will pay according to their own convenient time when payout threshold reaches to 0.01 BTC and also it will take lot of time to reach.

You are really asking this kind of question in the middle of 2017.?
Adsense banned all faucets a year ago.

Faucets are in micro earning section, try there!

It is really hard to collect bitcoin from faucet, the reward is so small and some of the payment minimum is high, it is a good way for newbie to earn some extra money but for now it is too time consuming

Faucets were very good in the past for many people. It worthed a lot if you compare the old rewards with the currently BTC price. Not so much time ago it was very easy to claim 100.000 satoshis on faucets, today it's $2.60, good, but soon it will become even better (who holded the earnings will make a lot of profit).

And sometimes there were flash faucets paying awesome rewards, like 100 satoshis without time between claims, special bonus on Epay.info where you could earn 1000-2000 extra satoshis per claim (I made 700.000 satoshis there in few days once).

Now it's different, but creative faucet owners can still make people use their sites as you can see here in Micro Earnings section.

I do not think that they will disappear for some time, but they are not the force in the market that they were. Faucet still exists but they pay very very less >:(
