Title: Macintosh multi coin wallets
Post by: sarannah on June 11, 2017, 02:10:47 PM
I'm looking for multi coin wallet for Mac and2 best i have found is Exodus but it supports only 8 coins.  :(

Any other wallets which supports more coins?

The best one I can think off for Mac is Jaxx (https://jaxx.io).

They are current supporting 14 cryptocurrencies and are looking forward to add support for more coins in the future.

The only problem with their wallet is some security issues you can read about here: http://bitsonline.com/jaxx-vulnerability-bitcoin-risk/

For OSX Electrum is the answer.

For iOS I use FreeWallet (https://freewallet.org/). Not ideal, but way more universal and stable than any competitors (tried 10+ different apps).

Jaxx security breach was solved, and freewallet is not available for Ios and you have to download one app for each coin...

Any link to support this claims? I couldn't find anything about that from Jaxx but a comment from someone from their team saying they won't fix the issues.

Taking advantage of the recent bump of this post, I would like to say that I recommended Jaxx last month but because of all the recent issues, it's better if you use Exodus to store your altcoins.

Only 1. Bitcoin. There are other altcoin forks, but afaik, there isn't any Electrum wallet with multiple currencies.
