Title: Getting customers to buy w/ credit card and merchant receiving BTC?
Post by: kingcob on May 06, 2013, 02:13:00 AM
As an online merchant, it's awesome that customers can pay with visa and it goes directly to my paypal account without the customer even knowing what paypal is.

Is there a service like this for Bitcoin?

I'd like to sell stuff online, have the customer check out with his credit card and receive untraceable BTC.

Does anything like that exist? It would reallllyy suck if my customers had to own bitcoins in order to buy my stuff. That would reduce my clientele to about nil haha.

Thanks.

No, and it's never going to because credit card transactions are reversible and Bitcoin transactions are not.

makes sense.

Is there a way for non bitcoin owners to buy from an only btc accepting shop?

This how great it would be to have a mobile online store, not attached to any country, revenue agency, tax code, and just sell stuff and get paid in btc. BUT being able to market to the entire planet. Not just the few crypto nerds d:

The dude that figures out how to do this with a "buy now button" is going to make btc realllllyyy take off.
