A bit funny :D
But the same case with me. They firstly restricted me from trading any kinda amount. Now they are not yet free, they dont allow me to spend a lot in bitcoin. But i manage them and make some big trades here. We can earn a lot with bitcoins, bitcoin can be a full time business. many people are still coming in the bitcoin section. I hope the transactions will increase a lot and the price will hike above 4000$+, then i could proudly say that im a successful trader to my parents.

Yup ,he just boast too much,1 btc is not a small amount and i dont think any referrals can give you more than 0.5% of profit user make, then how it result in 1 btc and in 1 week.

Old generation does not care of crypto/digital currency at all. They care about steady income and Insurance Policy as investment.

Even after explaining the whole blockchain technology, cryptography and algorithms, my dad still asks me how can it be a form of currency when it doesn't have a physical form.  ???
Whenever I say Bitcoin, my mom just exclaims Ransomware.!!
It's hard to make them understand. It'll take time I guess.

My parents also liked it because I bought them a present and it came from my earnings on bitcoin.

Well you remind me of a story, year ago I guess I was convincing my farther to invest his bonus in Ethereum. He was like don't believe into such shits, these are ponzis. Indian people are too conservative, we even have to convince them for 'Mutual Funds' through T.V. advertisement, cryptocurrencies are really big game to go.
And now when I told him his 10.000 could have turned 4L rupees, he can't believe to his feet. Thanks to media who have started covering Bitcoin and others much after demonetisation, Indians are becoming more aware. This year, he is investing 40k in WAVES. :D

My parents don't even understand "Paypal" so Bitcoin is a far fetched game for them.

My cousins whom I tell about Ethereum and when it was $15 during this Jan 2017 they didn't understood it.

Now after it hits $300 they want me to invest on their behalf.

But the boat has sailed long ago.  ???

This is biggest problem most of time as we have some good fortune we are really late to adopt this because here we are too much behind in use of technology and lack of infrastructure about these things many peoples fail to adopt this technology just because of this
