Title: MSI afterburner & other o/c tools Not Working
Post by: Crypto_Future on June 13, 2017, 02:07:21 PM
I am running modified asus rx 470 8gb, I am trying to O/C via afterburner and it shows GPU clocks at zero...
Asus overclock tool not working also.
Is this due to the modded bioses?
I am running 17.5.2

What modified BIOS did you put on it?

Modifying video cards BIOS must have a good purpose to be done, itīs very problematic sometimes.

I think this happened to me once as well when I was having issues and I think it was a driver issue if I remember correctly. You have to stop windows from updating drivers and then I used 16.9.2 and it worked fine.

Did you use the ATI Pixel Patcher?
Is there an input in your card? Or are you using onboard card only? At least one of the non-onboard GPUs needs to have something plugged in to be recognized in Windows. Linux doesn't have this problem. I use a headless HDMI, which can be bought on Amazon for $9.
