Title: Recovery of Bitcointalk forum Account
Post by: vect0rx2 on June 13, 2017, 05:08:11 PM
Greetings. I am the original creator of the 'vect0rx' account. I still own the email address.

I have not used it since 2015, and do not remember the password.

Apparently I did not set a security question (I'm not sure if one could set a security question in 2014 or so when vect0rx was created).

All roads lead to a web page error on password recovery, whether or not I have "Security Question" checked. Some important things are tied to the vect0rx account. For instance, my proof of identity for an exchange trading bot that I purchased back in 2014.

Can I get the account recovered? I could probably be persuaded to Donate to Bitcointalk in exchange a bit for assistance here.

Since I still hold the email address, it should not be a complex process.

Thanks!

-vect0rx

Did you ever quoted any Bitcoin address or PGP key you may have owned in the past with your lost account?

If so, you can always sign a message with that address/pgp key and send to theymos to request a password recovery.

I never did have PGP or a Bitcoin address associated. I don't have any reason to believe that my email address was ever altered from the holding e-mail address.

The main problem is that the web UI email address recovery process will not complete a success recovery flow flow for the account.

I was going to attach screenshots but this time around it sent the email out and I'm back in.. thank you very much for the help/info!!
