Title: "24hrs" - start/stop

Noob to life, sorry.  :-\

When most of these exchanges and trending sites filter and display "past 24hrs" what time frame is that in if its constantly moving?
 - from time of purchase or obtaining?

* EDIT: basically is it est, gmt,.. some other zone idk about

It is in whatever timezone the creator of the website wants it to be in.  There is no "standard" that is used by all sites.

ah, perhaps.. makes no sense to me though.

but after filtering a stock in poloniex to 6hrs by 5mins - has me at 3:30 june 14 (1130, EST) - so i assume must be on based on something.. now im just to lazy to google.. life it tough.

24 is an ammount of time, so it doesn't have a time zone. It is the same as 1440 min or 86400s

Notice you will never see the numbers being reset at any time

i see - agree. but.. it is GMT.
