Title: New 1070's RIG! could use some advice Post by: gilad215 on June 14, 2017, 08:25:43 AM Hey old friends, past miner and im back..
in 2014 i mined with 10x280x and i saw the electricity bill and btc price falling down on me, decided to step down. i know i'm a bit late but the fact that today's pascal gpus are so efficient i decided to give another go, and start slow. decided to go with pascal because where i live the price for the rx 570/580 are $10 cheaper than the 1070's. so i'm building a 4x1070 rig, i'm missing 2 cards but i started building from what i got photos : http://imgur.com/a/ec3Zh right now on 80% power, +600 Memory clock i'm getting 60mh/s at 275w! i just don't care about the profits anymore, this thing is so light on the power comparing to those eating 280xs i had. couple of questions: 1)Would you mine ETH? or take another approach for multipool etc (i belive eth price will go up) 2)Does anyone have experience with the cards sitting on their backs like that? they do have a backplate. 3)I Like how all the rig just works right out of the box without any BIOS mods, just downloaded Afterburner and using Windows, did anyone get better hashrates on Linux? Happy Mining Title: Re: New 1070's RIG! could use some advice Post by: Nokia555 on June 14, 2017, 09:56:29 AM Hey old friends, past miner and im back.. in 2014 i mined with 10x280x and i saw the electricity bill and btc price falling down on me, decided to step down. i know i'm a bit late but the fact that today's pascal gpus are so efficient i decided to give another go, and start slow. decided to go with pascal because where i live the price for the rx 570/580 are $10 cheaper than the 1070's. so i'm building a 4x1070 rig, i'm missing 2 cards but i started building from what i got photos : http://imgur.com/a/ec3Zh right now on 80% power, +600 Memory clock i'm getting 60mh/s at 275w! i just don't care about the profits anymore, this thing is so light on the power comparing to those eating 280xs i had. couple of questions: 1)Would you mine ETH? or take another approach for multipool etc (i belive eth price will go up) 2)Does anyone have experience with the cards sitting on their backs like that? they do have a backplate. 3)I Like how all the rig just works right out of the box without any BIOS mods, just downloaded Afterburner and using Windows, did anyone get better hashrates on Linux? Happy Mining Hi, Start mining DGB with Skein. http://mylifegadgets.com/setup-ethmonitoring-miner-software/ You will get more profits with it. Nice rig BTW, congrats! I also came back to the mining fields these days, using one Titan X Pascal and recently I bought a 1070GTX mini from Galax to help things up a little. I´m using Nicehash miner, most of the time it changes the algorithm according to the altcoin mining profitability, mining lbry, eth, equihash and others, I would recommend you try it to see if it attends your needs. Interesting, do you think i should push the Mem clock even more? Where did you see better results? i looked all over.. Do you use Windows or Linux (I think Windows to have + 600 for memory clock) ?in 2014 i mined with 10x280x and i saw the electricity bill and btc price falling down on me, decided to step down. i know i'm a bit late but the fact that today's pascal gpus are so efficient i decided to give another go, and start slow. decided to go with pascal because where i live the price for the rx 570/580 are $10 cheaper than the 1070's. so i'm building a 4x1070 rig, i'm missing 2 cards but i started building from what i got photos : http://imgur.com/a/ec3Zh right now on 80% power, +600 Memory clock i'm getting 60mh/s at 275w! i just don't care about the profits anymore, this thing is so light on the power comparing to those eating 280xs i had. couple of questions: 1)Would you mine ETH? or take another approach for multipool etc (i belive eth price will go up) 2)Does anyone have experience with the cards sitting on their backs like that? they do have a backplate. 3)I Like how all the rig just works right out of the box without any BIOS mods, just downloaded Afterburner and using Windows, did anyone get better hashrates on Linux? KF2A Exoc snpr 1070 Core +60 Power limit 85 Core clock +120 Mem clock +750 I am mining like 480-490sol/s zec. Flypool, using zecminer. I read a lot and nvidia loves zec ;) |
