Among the rapidly increasing market traction for Bitcoin and other alternatives, there are many unique cryptocurrencies each with their features and value propositions.

Thus, I would like to know which cryptocurrency (or cryptocurrencies) is/are your favorite(s) and why did you choose it?

As for me, my favorite cryptocurrencies are Bitcoin, Ethereum, Zcash, and Litecoin.

I chose Bitcoin because of its high value on the markets, not to mention that it was the first cryptocurrency to bring the concept of the blockchain. In the case of Ethereum, I like it because it employs a new concept where organizations and corporations can do businesses in a decentralized way powered by smart contracts which I believe that it's revolutionary. And finally, Litecoin is also one of my favorites since transactions settle very quickly, as well as it has adopted SegWit which makes it better than ever to handle more transaction load and enable the possibility for faster transactions with the activation of the Lightning Network.

Nevertheless, I would like to hear your thoughts about your favorite cryptocurrency.  :)

Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dash, Ripple,Golem and Digibyte

I love zcoin. It is very simple and easy to mine coin. Moreover, zcoin has some same function as zcash but the price is sitll very low. It is very good to buy as many zcoin as I can because I have a strong feeling that it will soon go to the moon

Of course bitcoin, dash, doge, reddcoin.
But for now I prefer to hear ethereum. Feels luxurious and authoritative when pronouncing it. :) :D

Let's see. Bitcoin, Bitcoin, aaaaand Bitcoin. There is a place in my heart for one currency only, and that is Bitcoin. I don't love alternative coins, I can't stand having them nor would I ever use them (for me, they are a means to an end). Nothing but Bitcoin for me!

my favorite crypto currency is bitcoin only because with bitcoin, i can make money so far. but in altcoin, i think i don't have any favorite altcoin because i think as long as i can make profit with altcoin then i can make more bitcoin so i only choose bitcoin for my favorite. for me, altcoin is a way to help me to earn more bitcoin so i can increase my amount of bitcoin.

Only eyeing for those cryptocurrency that is fit for long term holding. The following cryptos are the only worth to hold for long term based on my own view and quite analytics:

Internet of Coins (currently on ICO)
Dcorp Tokens (currently on ICO)

I only seldom sees coins that is good for long term holding but those listed above gave me guts to invest in those. NEM already passed my test as I hold it for years with less than 1,000 satoshis and now sitting at 8,000 satoshis with an ATH of 13,000 satoshis. Now eyeing for IoC's and Dcorp's token and will hold too for years.

Since Im still on early phase of my staying here in cryptoworld, I might not known well those other cryptos who also have a decent price. So for now, Bitcoin is on the first line. I saw other cryptos like Etherium is having a good future too based on my readings but still I don't want just to read but to learn why Etherium will be like bitcoin in the future in terms of being number 1 in coinmarketcap.

Why so harsh on altcoins? I think nowadays it is obvious that there are coins which are better than bitcoin from a technical perspective. Moreover, it is totally natural since they were created later and could take into account the previous mistakes.
I think that there is still not much to do with any cryptocurrency, only few options to use them.
For me bitcoin is the only currency I sort of really use, whereas eth and ltc are just investments.

I am supporting SONM project, it has a big potential because it has many good features that not other projects have.

My favorite crypto currency is bitcoin, ethereum, monero, xaurum, zcash, monero, startis waves ,litecoin, dash ,  komodo this coin have very potential to increase the price in the future. Base on my own research this all coin is promising and for sure those people have that can earna lot of money after holding few years.

My very own favorite would still be squall coin because I believed in it and that's why I represent it. This is a coin that has been in existence for over 3years with the support still coming even from people who left the forum and still come back at the same time the promoter is not resting neither is he scamming anyone. After my first choice can now come others such as ETH or ripples etc.

Wow looks like zcoin is very promising. I'll look forward to that. Well for me, as always bitcoin and ethereum. Bitcoin as we all know, it move us in a larger scale. Hoping the price sooner will be much higher than before. Also bitcoin is legal in some country like Japan. Sooner other countries will be legalized bitcoin. And of course, ethereum, following the steps of bitcoin. Eth have potential to grow in the market. Its smart contract that automatically executes when specific conditions are met. There's no possibility of fraud nor censorship.

My favourite cryptocurrency is bitcoin because the most popular coin, Doge is the low price to own, and of course etherium is the potential coin going to high price  ;D

My favorite cryptocurrency today is SONM because I am supporting them with social media campaign.

No doubts that Bitcoin , eth , zcasg , litecoin are better for investment but still I don't like these coins because they already have high price and if I will invest money in these then it will take much time to get profit .
Here my main main favourite coins are dgb ( having confirmation time less then minute from exchange to exchange , more faster than Bitcoin and another network ) , Pak coin i like this coin because it has the price range from 100 to 300 Satoshi , so it is much easy to multiply my money into double easily , creva  it is also fluctuate from 40 to 110 so easy to make money with this , pxl I made 3 times double my investment , blry it is fluctuate from 500 sat to 1200 sat  ,so it is easy to handle to make money .

I like Etherium, but it is already well known, so i will just skip to the less known ones. Iconomi is my favourite! Unique niche, they said the platform will be launched to public on August 1st. It is basically an asset managment platform. You put your money inside, and then they trade altcoins, or hold them for that matter, and you get the profits! I joined in the ICO. If you haven't heard of it, i suggest you check it out.

Agree. Zcoin is undervalued right now considering that it is the original Zerocoin protocol, where ZK-SNARK technology originated from. As its similar to ZEC's concept, I believe that ZCoin should be worth more than what it is right now.

The best part of it is that it doesn't have a founder's reward tax unlike ZCash. So Zcoin could become a great investment for the long term.

If you're considering to invest into Zero Knowledge Proof based coins, then Zcoin and Zcash would be the ideal choice.



Glad to see a loyal supporter of Bitcoin. Usually, Bitcoin is the best investment you'll ever make since altcoins are more volatile and most of them lack real development. Also, they're not as strong and secure as the Bitcoin blockchain itself, making the pioneer cryptocurrency the ideal choice for long term investing.

But, if you're looking to make profit then altcoins would be the ideal choice for this. They're more covenient for quick selling when prices rise and then buying more when they decline. As their value changes quickly on the markets more than Bitcoin itself, you can follow a strategy and ensure your financial future with them. Just sharing my thoughts. ;D

Of course Bitcoin. Without Bitcoin we can't meet up like this and discussing about Bitcoin.
For altcoin, my favorites are Ethereum, LUNYR and ICONOMI because these projects are well developed and probably you have know these projects has really good potential (just look at the market cap and price of each project).

There are literally more than 1000 altcoins in the market right now but no one can replace BTC in the people's heart. They may love altcoins for some days until they think that they can get a profit but BTC love is forever and ever. Right now am holding some Litecoin and Creditbit so those are my favorites currently.

There are lots of altcoins but you can focus on few of them which are trending a lot now a days. Most of the newly launched ICO's are pretty good because in their initial phase they always get huge response and are very expensive. :-) So you get good amount of profit in that trade. I usually never stick to single coin or just bitcoin itself. Now a days im learning that the world is even bigger than bitcoin. Altcoins can really benefit you if you choose them wisely. Always remember the ICO's which are newly marketed due their presale they increase in the value and letter dump when they become old.

Which cryptocurrency I like is ETH and Bitcoin why? Because Ethereum and Bitcoin have a good rate and good price stability. Not only that, I think Bitcoin and Ethereum will have a better rate. :)

I have a lot of favorite crypto currency bug this my top 3 currency. First ofcoarse the bitcoin gives me high profit and I believe this coin will become more stronger and stronger in the next few years. Next ethereum is the next bitcoin for sure if bitcoin die so I buy a lot of ethereum. I have alslo zcash is my third favorite and this coin have big future also like the ether coin

My favorite coins are Litecoin, Ethereum and Ripplecoin. The reason i make them favourite's investment factor. And my choice isn't wrong, they have skyrocketed very high right now. Especially with ETH, still remember when i bought it at 0.008btc.

For me always bitcoin it's given some proven earning for me but based on recent trends litecoin and waves are really doing good . But ripple will also move once it started upward direction

Agree. While there are many altcoins in the market, none of them have proven to become as secure and solid as Bitcoin itself. Even Ethereum which is close to Bitcoin's market cap, was never meant to be used as a store of value, making the pioneer cryptocurrency retain its rightful place in the markets.

Besides, Bitcoin has an established branding and increased user base making it the most prominent cryptocurrency among others. Things aside, altcoins are very useful for quick transactions and to make profit if a right strategy is followed. I believe that there are some altcoins which will survive along with Bitcoin for years to come due to their constant development and innovation.

As for the coins you've mentioned, they're both an ideal choice to invest into as they have managed to remain stable for quite some time. While Creditbit has more development and innovation than Litecoin itself, the latter has implemented SegWit which makes it a better cryptocurrency to become scalable as years go by.

Nevertheless, whenever you decide to invest into altcoins, you should be careful and minimize your risks since most of them have more volatility than Bitcoin itself. Just my opinion. :)

I honestly like Ethereum and Bitcoin alot. My Other choices are Zcash, Moneroe, Siacoin, Status(it's new and makes sense). Like the upcoming CIVIC a little... don't fully understand it yet. Hope it's what I have in mind it is.

I have many favorite altcoins right now. But bitcoin is still number 1 because the price is continue to increase and I believe the bitcoin price will become double after the halving happen.  I think most of the people said the next bitcoin is ethereum and I agree with that because I see the potential of ethereum in the next king of cryptocurrency. But bitcoin is the best  for me.

As for ZCash and Monero, they're really good anonymous cryptocurrencies that give an extra level of privacy where Bitcoin lacks of. Thus, you can use them in combination with Bitcoin to hide financial information you don't want others to see. Having a dedicated development team and new technology like ZCash does, will greatly ensure its place in the future.

In the case of the new coins you've mentioned, they look interesting to get ahold of them once they gain traction, to make a good amount of profit. Just my opinion. :)

My favorite cryptocurrency without any doubt is Bitcoin for now as it is still the most popular and stable cryptocurrency available out there. Other coins which i like are ethereum, monero and siacoin. These coins have a very bright future ahead.

Agree. Bitcoin is the most strongest and stable cryptocurrencies, showing huge growth during this year of 2017. It will always be one of the most prominent cryptocurrencies on the market, unless another altcoin becomes widely accepted with better features and stability than Bitcoin.

Even though Bitcoin will remain king for a couple of years from now, there are still other cryptocurrencies which have promising development and popularity. While I have a huge list of coins which are my favorite, there are only a few which I like the most. Ethereum, Ethereum Classic, Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Dash are my top picks as they have the potential to survive for many years to come.

Nevertheless, whichever cryptocurrency you choose, each of them are driven by the same technology as Bitcoin called the blockchain, and that is what really matters. Recently, IOTA came into crypto land with a new concept, which seems to be better than traditional blockchains. It could become the new favorite cryptocurrency for many people, making its value rise more than what it is right now. Just my opinion. :)

I don't have a favorite cryptocurrency, or it last just a few days and then I get bored. But there are some that I realle hate. For exemple the scam cryptocurrency Onecoin. It has nothing related to crypto that's the most funny, it's just a MLM scam with no blockchain. They keep lying to their followers. The creators have a criminal history

for me ethereum is the best and it will always be, the ethereum is now the second most valuable coin in the bitcoin or cryptocurrency industry so it is my favorite cryptocurrency.

My favorite coins is eth and ripple, they have a good price action and news for speculation. I define " favorite " just because I have profit on trade with that coins. Simple strategy, long time period and good money management make me so happy. But other have another definition about favorite and that's fine. I hope eth & eth become my number one coins for life. Eth is my second favorite aside from bitcoin since I believe that eth will conquer and get excellent performance on next upcoming years, and aside from Eth im merely watching for new altcoins aroun like exscudo,bancor and primalbase where have great potential to be the next big thing on crypto industry.

It's the bitcoin for me which is on top of my favorite cryptocurrencies list. Besides bitcoin I like eth, stratis, xem, dgb, sc and rdd too and I hope all of these altcoins I mentioned above will be doing good in the future and will become more popular and will be accepted by more people in the days to come and gain good value in dollar or bitcoin.

To those who say Bitcoin and Bitcoin only, what would you say to those who notice the dominance share of Bitcoin declining over time relative to the crypto market as a whole?
Is this a temporary trend?  Immaterial?  The numbers seem hard to ignore at present. 

With how quickly the space is moving, it's certainly possible that the eventual winner(s) in the space won't necessarily be those at the top of the list right now.  However, it's hard to imagine BTC / ETH, at the very least, being entirely supplanted.

Of course, i have some investment of these coins and I can see prospect to these.
And its market cap that growing over time so why not invest some of these.
I just hodl bitcoin but the other three just for short term investment,  just trade when there's perfect timing.

These are one of the most prominent altcoins in the market. Both NEM and DASH are unique cryptocurrencies with their distinctive and innovative features. With NEM, you can enjoy the goodness of advanced features like mosaics, harvesting, and even delegated harvesting which is similar to staking your coins but without the need to leave your wallet open at all times to earn from your holdings.

As for DASH, it has been a well-known and established cryptocurrency that has followed Bitcoin's codebase but adding additional features such as masternodes which ensure privacy and having a unique ASIC resistant algorithm.

Therefore, these cryptocurrencies mentioned could skyrocket in price in the long term due to their unique features, constant development, and popularity. I remember when DASH used to be worth $12 and now it has increased to nearly $200. Same thing with NEM, as it used to be a lot cheaper than what it is right now.

Nevertheless, while these altcoins are good they're not the only ones which provide promising features. There is a huge selection of coins in the market, each with their unique features and development team behind it. It is up to you to make a research and decide which altcoin you will hold for the long term. Just my opinion. :)

What is Legend Room or LGD? Why it is your favorite cryptocurrency?

I know Bitcoin and Ethereum is one of the most favorite coin of almost all trader like me. Because this coins give big profit to us. And I want to add some coins that's my favorite to trade, like Humaniq, Edgeless and BAT. This coin is my favorite because when this coins dump buy some coins and wait only weeks or days to pump.

I am holding only two coins for long term right now. That is bitcoin and xem. I used to own waves and notes but I dumped this two in favor of xem.

Waves is also my favorite, as it allowed me to earn huge profits after launch. Since I was one of the early investors, I've been able to benefit greatly from its price increase right after it got listed on the exchanges.

Besides the profits, I'm also attracted to its features and speed of transactions which is a lot faster than Bitcoin. Also, having a lite wallet for Chrome is very convenient as it allows me to quickly manage my Waves within my browser with no blockchain syncing whatsoever.

ETH and NXT are also great cryptocurrencies with unique features such as smart contracts, aliases, decentralized exchange, and much more. I think that they will remain in crypto land for many years to come.



Smart choice. You've limited yourself to only two cryptocurrencies which makes you free of having to stay up to date with a lot of coins holding. As for me, I have many altcoins which are in my portfolio, which have turned out to be quite a hassle since I would need to stay up to date with each and every one of them, taking up a lot of my time.

Things aside, XEM has a great potential of becoming a widely robust and popular blockchain platform. It brings many features, alongside with active development, making it reach new heights as time goes by. One feature that is quite interesting to see is Catapult since it aims to make NEM more scalable and capable of delivering faster transaction speeds. If it becomes a reality, it could spark in price and popularity making it the third largest cryptocurrency after Bitcoin and Ethereum. Just my thoughts. ;D

Bitcoin will be my all time favorite! Ethereum is cool, and EXPanse have a lot of great concept and has a lot to offer, those are my top three.

Both Byteball and Komodo have promising technology that may have a positive effect in their value for the long term. Personally, I love Komodo as it brings a multicurrency wallet, along with ZCash's privacy features, and best of all, security provided with Bitcoin's hashrate.

If you compare Komodo and ZCash, Komodo has a lot to offer but it is pretty undervalued right now considering that ZEC is worth hundreds of dollars. With the unique dPoW consensus algorithm, KMD can prove to become a much secure cryptocurrency than ZEC, as it is backed by Bitcoin's hashrate.

In the case of ByteBall, I haven't got the chance to try it yet because it is a little expensive, but I'm eager to get some coins soon. There have been a few distributions of BYTE going around lately, which may give me a few free coins based on my current BTC holdings at the time where the snapshot was made.

Nevertheless, there are many coins out there that have really cool features, making most of them the favorites of many people in crypto land. Whichever cryptocurrency you choose, it is up to you to keep up date with the latest happenings. Just my opinion. :)

The only problem, short-term at least, is that many look very different in some months than others:
for example Ripple in June 2017 is a very different proposition from Ripple in March 2017.
So a slightly different question (which some may not like) is: which decent coins have many more genuine buyers than sellers.
For example I recently stumbled on AUR Aurora Coin from Iceland. It's not going to change the world, it's a tiny coin with low ambition,
but just take a look at the wall of buyers queuing up, and the handsomely rising graph! It makes my heart sing - like Bjork, but cheaper.
As for the question: should the price action affect one's like or dislike of a coin / project, I guess it depends on whether we are a philosopher/aesthete, or trying to make profitable trade.
There's not much point in falling in love with a coin which is going to lose you money (presumably Ethereum short term) - wouldn't it be better to cut contact and buy back lower?

yeah i like that cruptocurrencies too , but the most currency i like is the bitcoin off course because it helps me a lot now and it provides the needs of my family plus it teaches me some values in my life too thats why i like it.

Sure ETH have a high value because it stayed for a long time now. But there are also promising coins now.
NEM have a low price but with high value. It went up to a good price from a low investment that I made before.

My dogecoin option, where the transfer fee is very cheap, the rate is also increasing rapidly.

The coin that I like is Ethereum because Ethereum I think will have a very good future. I like Ethereum because many ico get paid with Ethereum.

For me, Bitcoin and Ethereum are my favorites. Why? Because they have a high selling point. For now and the future.

Vcash (XVC) because it's fast cash with unlimited transactions per second. Most of all it just works. So far, no other crypto currency has matched its performance and potential.

My favourite crypto currency are Bitcoin , Dogecoin , Litecoin , Ripple , Ethereal , NEM , Waves .SOme of the coins in that given really good profit from that waiting huge profit from waves and also good news for ripple.

My favorite coin is Golem coin.
Just because of its name and super computer idea)

Yeah. Bitcoin is the best cryptocurrency that you will find. It is valuable, secure, and most of all, decentralized giving us freedom and value to our everyday payments. As well as you, Bitcoin has teached me a lot in my life, and has helped me make better use of my finances in ways that I've never thought it was possible.

Things aside, while there are a wide array of cryptocurrencies to choose from, none has proven to be as secure and solid as Bitcoin itself. Some altcoins are good, but there are others which have no real use in life and are just pure speculation. But what really matters is the wonders of the blockchain technology. And whatever cryptocurrency you choose as your favorite pick, it will be such that embraces the blockchain transforming our daily lives as we know it.

Therefore, we could say that the blockchain has become the favorite solution for finance, data management, and others from individuals and businesses alike. Just my opinion. :)

Same, only I would pick Bitcoin & Litecoin since they have people from pretty much everywhere in the world wanting to have it. Bitcoin should get into worldwide usage if there is enough people using the coin though that won't happen any time soon since there's also people that are really against Bitcoin for some reason.

If Bitcoin & Litecoin share their technology then it would be a pretty strong duo if it was possible to make it work.

I think dogecoin is the lowest crypto and many people trade doge with ethereum, and the market price of doge coin is not too high compared to btc, ltc, zcash and litecoin. Maybe next year dogecoin can rise the market price of crypto may be good

What about lisk? It is no different with the waves, the solid community, a lot of the supporter, and good development. But seems the bitcoin will be my favorite currency in this time, because all of the crypto can't live without bitcoin.

Yes bitcoins is first digital coins but with invest in bitcoins will be difficult for making doubles our investment, but with makes invest in altcoins for long time, there are chance to getting doubles profit especially invest in altcoins that has good reputation and fundamental like ethereum, it has chance to follow bitcoin's price even replace the bitcoins, ethereum fix the weakness of bitcoins.

My favorite Crypto is bitcoin and Ethereum.
Bitcoin is a compulsory option for me because this is the main crypto and has profitable fluctuations. Bitcoin prices are also always up and this can be used for long-term investments. So bitcoin deserves to be the favorite crypto.
Ethereum also has a promising future, and as you say Ethereum brings a new concept. Blockchain Ethereum also allows for smart contracts and Dapps.

I dont have realy a favorate coins or token all them is ok for me as long that i earn money is ok for me a lot of coin and token out there some is good for a long term and some is good for a short term trading but be carefull also some coin is scam so choose wisely

Well I do see Waves could go way high.
They did a good thing into pulling a lot of supporters by their signature campaign.
Anything that can pay like that may have a large amount of money that can make their develop coin last longer.
I mean they dont have the reason to get greedy if they already have it right?

I think the dev. objectives are credible and pragmatic, and they have some background...
In my opinion really good potential for the long term.

Yes waves, I think waves will follow in the footsteps of Ethereum Because waves have support in many ico in terms of payment.

Yeah. Both Bitcoin and Litecoin have a wide audience, not to mention that they're greatly known in the crypto space due to their years within it. Whereas Bitcoin is the most secure cryptocurrency, and implements a deflationary model, it works best as a store of value, while Litecoin can serve as digital cash to process our daily payments in a fast and easy way.

They make a strong duo indeed, and are prone to survive for many years to come. Especially Bitcoin, since it has shown to grow stronger everyday with the wide acceptance from people in the mainstream world. The best thing about Litecoin is that it serves as an experimental sandbox for Bitcoin, allowing to test some of the proposed features for the pioneer cryptocurrency into it, before they could become applied within Bitcoin itself.

When SegWit became successful into Litecoin, it gave a green light for Bitcoin to begin adopting it as well. And with the recent surge of SegWit2x for Bitcoin, things are going to change drastically for the pioneer cryptocurrency if successful.

That is why, Bitcoin and Litecoin should be within the favorites list of any cryptocurrency lover or supporter like me. Just my opinion. :)
