Title: MSI Afterburner
Post by: kjr2686 on June 14, 2017, 05:11:03 PM
So I cant get afterburner to read my card. Im using the 15.xx crimson driver for my fury X and for some reason afterburner does not seem to be playing nice. it shows the graphics card and the driver version in the bottom, but thats it.... no values, no adjustments.

Do you also have a Nvidia card in the system?

MSI Afterburner can only read info from either Nvidia or AMD, but not both.
If that's not the case run DDU to uninstall all drivers and re-install them again.

it's possible that you downloaded an old version of afterburner, try to download the last oen to support the last amd gpu, old version can't support those gpu

The only other GPU is the on-board which is an intel. I know that AMD drivers i am using are older (ver 15.xx not 17.xx), but I heard the newer versions are not good with mining. The Afterburner, however, is the newest version

It also depends on what card you have. If you're running a RX 5XX card, then you have to use 17.xx.xx drivers.

My card is a fury X.. If i update the drivers, won't that mess up mining?
