Title: Should I invest in etherum
Post by: Jamzymc on June 14, 2017, 10:00:44 PM
I play online poker and have a nice roll on PokerStars of 11k. I am thinking of cashing out and investing 10k of it into etherum. Loads are suggesting it could surpass bitcoin in the coming years which means around 5x return on investment. It took me 4 years to make 1/5 of that on PokerStars. I doubt I will ever make that kind of money playing poker unless I get super lucky. Way i see it I have only ever invested about 2k into poker so the other 8k I can treat as a profit I wouldn't really miss as I can just drop down stakes on poker and grind at the micro stakes again and be able to play for atleast the next year without busting my roll. Plus I'm a risk taker, I don't mind gambling.  So now you know im willing to take the risk would you say it's worth taking that risk? Or should be buy 3 BTC?

Everywhere people are talking about investing in etherum but you should wait a little research yourself then invest otherwise you can loose your money due to pump and dump. It is an altcoin and altcoins are very risky be sure what you choose before you invest and I would advise you to diversify your investment to avoid loss.

i think its depend on yourself, because we are only giving the advice and the decision is still from you. but for me, i think i want to invest ethereum and i will hold it until i see the price is getting up and there still increase more. ethereum is another good coins that we can invest with so when the price is up, we can sell it to get profit.

If you look at CoinMarketCap you should see that the price of Ethereum is going down. I am not sure if you’d want to purchase it right now because the price of it might not seem important to you since you’re playing gambling and gambling websites usually have fixed rates. I would wait a little bit before purchasing.

I would like to see a good correction in all the major coins before investing my money it,i would not suggest you to invest in ETH when the price is riding high, consider the risk involved and then make up your mind on what to do with your money, there are good ICO to invest your money if you are looking for it,just take a look at the alt coin section and make a good decision.

Even others says that ethereum was a good altcoins to invest in, well you can still choose to not follow there suggestion or advice. Meaning, this will depend on you of how are you gonna believe in the coins if you think eth is a good real altcoins to invest in then go for it!

ETH has gone up 20x in a couple months and most of these so-called ICOs are struggling to break even. Most people fail to pick a winner.

The money is in ETH. It is glaringly obvious.

These ICOs are sucking up ETH and the price of ETH can only go up. Meanwhile, be sure to wait 12-18 months to see if you picked a winner, because programming takes time.

Are you sure ETH has it all? Other coins like WAVES, Stratis, and Lisk have made big gains as well in the last month.

I would personally say you better not. Because a dump can come and take lots of things from ethereum holders and buyers. It's signaling this.

Don't you know about the first rule of investing? Do not put all eggs in one basket, divide your funds into bitcoin and ethereum, like 50:50 or whatever you want just in case if one of it rise or crash. And you should have backup funds besides what you want to invest, backup funds used for your daily needs, pay bills, etc, and for anything that you have to pay. I think ethereum will increase in this year until certain point than it would be decrease, but I don't think ethereum could surpass bitcoin price.

Another way to invest in ethereum is buying the SONM tokens which will have their ICO this June 14th. SONM is a project that will have scientific computing, fog computing, and many new functionalities.

The SONM project will be built on the Ethereum network. SONM It is an ethereum based network of globally distributed computational power.

its always good to place some investment in some project that you are eyeing some good return, as we all knew investment in alts might be good or possible to be ruin so better to place the money that you can afford to lose you can always be ready in whatever happen.

My mother knows about Ethereum now, and through no effort of my own, which for me reinforces that point.  A massive crash is coming to ETH, I don't know when it will happen nor do I know what will happen between now and then (It may pump more before that happens, maybe not), but the point is that the time of Eth being a safe investment in long gone.  The only good investment to be made in a billion+ dollar crypto currency at this moment in time is Litecoin.

Look at the graphs. Price is falling, even more than Bitcoin.

In trading there is a moto about never try to catch a falling knife.

Yeah, always look at the materials. Do some research about the market exchange. If you wanna invest, just invest the half. Or should I say invest to what you can afford to lose. Have a back up plan. It's not small money that we're talking. We're just giving an advice. In the end of the day is it you that will decide.

Seeing from the dominance and the chart movement, and the history, investing in ETH got a better profit than bitcoin in a short term and ETH really got a good rising in this month, I think you will got more profit if you investing ETH,but for a long term I still suggest bitcoin because it is more stable

I have invested in ETH since it was $8. Once it got $25 many people said that it is too high, not buy it, than $90, than $150, than 250, after this ...$340. The same people is saying the same things...
I think ETH will take first place in coinmarketplace soon.
