Title: Unable to do anything in my wallet
Post by: Budderman on June 16, 2017, 12:09:01 AM
Ive used electrum before but i have never had this problem where i am unable to do anything such as change my password or send transactions. I have read on the error "object of type 'nonetype' has no len()" and tried to restore my wallet which was said to fix the problem but even after i did this i still cannot send or do anything. Wallet version is 2.8.3

Try downloading a portable version of one of the previous releases, and creating a wallet in it using your wallet words from your current wallet.

In that case, it sounds as though you may have some corrupted files in the default Electrum "data directory". On windows this is usually in %appdata%/Electrum. (should be something like: C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Electrum)

If you have your seed safely backed up (and/or wallet file if you have a non HD wallet)... you should delete everything in the %appdata%/Electrum directory, re-install the latest Electrum and then restore your wallet.
