How often do YOU check the price of Bitcoin?

I generally don't. I save speculation for the alt-coins.

However, checking it now that you've mentioned it.

Usually when I wake up. Then I focus on my alt coins. Bitcoin's for long term :)

I keep BTC-E up constantly because I like its interface. You can check the price of pretty much any coin with one look.

Every half hour, but I have a ticker up, so it's not an effort to look.

If someone has a dedicated monitor set up just for trading, please share

I have the litecoin widget on android... keeping an eye on BTC/LTC... pretty much update it every time I unlock phone

depending on how many you have, how much you have invested, would be a good idea to check atleast daily, with the price fluctuating as much as it has been doing..

I don't check how often I look at my phone or glance up at my top left or top right monitor. Do you?

I check the price of Altcoins very often, or which ones are new on what exchanges... so looking at the BTC price comes automatic many times a day.

I do it at work, I do it at home, I even do it while I'm around.
I'm beginning to think that I'm a bitcoin junkie :P

I have an application on my phone that shows me the ticker prices for bitcoin, litecoin, and feathercoin. Rather helpful. I end up checking it a dozen or so times a day.

I am constantly on BTC-E checking profits and coinchoose.com identifying which coin to mine.  I have dual 7970's so I try to mine the most profitable coin

I installed an app called BitcoinMonitor installed. It gives me the current Mt.Gox price. I find it be a little off though at times. Nevertheless it's still reliable.

Usually just once or twice a day to keep track on where things are going and to jump on any opportunities should they come up.

I've been checking the price of Bitcoin fairly regularly since I bought some, but I heard some advice to ONLY check once a week, and no more.

That way, you don't get tempted into day trading and panic selling.

(Might not work if Bitcoin completely plummets though)

I even wrote a little client to trade fast enough to gain on little waves.
Gained a full 1$ on 40$ in 2 days!
A lot of trades get my fee down anyway.

I have a widget on my phone that updates me... pretty much all of the time. Not good for my health during the boom to $260!

I installed an app on my phone that updates bitcoin prices from mt.gox and BTC-e and it has alerts, finding it quite handy.  I tend to look many times a day.

I check the price way more often than I should! I think 5-10 times a day.  It's always awesome to see it fluctuate!

I actually use the Biticker add-on (v1.11.0 by Tritonio) for Google Chrome...so the price is literally always up so long as I have my browser open.

I haven't tried it yet, but here's a site that will send you SMS messages to alert you about price changes to Bitcoin... So, in theory, you don't ever have to check the price, you can be told when it changes.

I check mtgox every 3 hours

I keep an app on my android phone that updates every hour (the setting I have it on), as well as biticker in my browser.  So whether I'm home or away, I can always check on the price of my favorite currencies.

Admittedly bter and mtgox are part of my routine checks whenever i open an internet browser. As well as how well my rig is going in the coin pools i mine with =). I'd estimate probably every 40-60mins. Just a quick check to see what's happened.

I honestly check more frequently than I should, but I've been through enough rises and falls that I'm just a smidge paranoid.

I voted 25+ because I'm always checking on it whilst I'm on the net.

I never really go out of my way to check though. Only when I'm on the computers. As someone who's in it for the long term I'm not all that fussed about current price really :P

If you have an android phone get bitcoin paranoid. I have it set to every 10 seconds :)

Two tabs at the top of my browser screen (bitcoinity and bitcoinium) show the Gox price in real time, so whenever I glance there I see it (them) - hundreds of glances a day, I guess. Once or twice a day I might open the tabs for a close look. I don't day trade, I just mine - I'm intrigued at the trading shenanigans though - I noticed the effects of today's DHS/Dwolla/Gox thing on the price first, so went looking for the story to explain it - looks like the effect is building momentum now, bystanders are going to get hurt. Yuck.

I realize, with less volatility, I'm checking the price much less often lately. I realized I hadn't looked since this morning (it's evening for me now).

I check the Bitcoin price before I j/o if it's high.  If it's low I just cry.. and then j/o

After the crash from 200, I was pretty much glued to Clark Moody. Nowadays I only check it twice a day.

I check the prices daily hoping to catch any crashes but obviously it has stabilized but I doubt it will reach $1000/BTC soon.

I have Bitcoin paranoid on my tablet, I notice the price most of the time I am on the tablet checking emails and so on. The app also makes a sound alert when a big fall or rise occurs, I don't day trade but it is useful to know how Bitcoin is doing.

I keep coinchoose open and check it quite a lot, mainly for the other coins, to see which one is doing the best at any given time. But I've started mining a few coins that don't have markets yet, so I haven't been checking it as much as I used to. Great site to watch all the prices tho.

I keep the Clarkmoody tab open so I can see the price of bitcoin in the tab's title, so I get to see the price whenever I'm looking over my open tabs.

I have Bitcoinium app on my android phone, and I check it continuously during the day and especially first thing in the morning.

I check it every day, i have 50 BTC on my Paperwallet, thats much money for me.

I check every hour on my phone. I think I'm addicted to checking the price!  :-\
