Title: Having some issues trading on bittrex
Post by: namethathasntbeentaken on June 18, 2017, 12:53:31 PM
it's my first time trading and i'm trying to buy some Lunyr tokens, yesterday i put an offer and it was the highest bid for a long time, but it continued there not moving..I checked it out now and my offer is still open, nobody picked it up, is this normal in trading? I thought it was easy to buy and sell like this

Lunyr's trading volume (https://coinmarketcap.com/assets/lunyr/#markets) is pretty low.  That means that to buy a lot you might have to wait a long time, depending on how much people are willing to sell to you or what they think it's worth.

Give it a few hours and make sure your order is on "Good 'til canceled" mode.  If you can't do it, raise your bid.

It depends on 3 things.
1. How much you want to buy/sell, more at once is harder to pull off
2. Current volume
3. Determination, if you want to sell fast, offer good price, much lower than cheapest offer. That way you can sell quicker.

As the others have stated, volume is the biggest factor.  Market liquidity is important for high speed trading.  That is why the 24hr volume figure is worth paying attention to.

You just need to go to the ASK section: http://prntscr.com/fmzyz8

Check the ASK rates and decide which one is the best for you, and then the order gets placed and you can see the LUN coins in your account. Doesn't depend on the market size or volume as if your offer is the highest and there is a matching ASK offer, your order is fulfilled automatically.
