Good, I am glad the coins I sold wholesale haven't turned out to have been overpriced.

Maybe they even did as intended: primed the market by increasing the number of people with a stake in the coin's success.

Wow I'm very excited about this.  Once they actually mention it on the main page and announce it maybe we'll actually have volume since right now nobody knows about it except BBQCoin fanatics.

Just use this link to fund your account :)

http://bter.com/myaccount/deposit/bqc

Ah, an empirical test, eh?

Hmm, I am still somewhat inclined to wait for Vircurex to pick it up. At least that way if a relic collector does collect he'll get all my coins in one basket! :)

Ugg, Bter....  The way they artifically limit the number of decimal place you can use when trading and withdrawing, really turns me off from the site.

I got dust from a couple coins sitting in there that I can't trade or withdraw since they are "too small".

I think I'll wait till it get accepted on another exchange.

It wasn't going slow at all right up to when it went down.

Think they took it down to change some interface and put up an announcement of BQC?

I believe it is the 3rd oldest coin right behind LTC

and it's kind of like Jesus because it was crucified by Luke-Jr and resurrected from the dead

It was a fun coin, got blasted by a 51% attack, toddled along under the radar for a while somehow surviving the 51% attack (because it worked out a lot in its teenage years) and then became the more stable and great coin it is today.

Yep - seems they did take down the site to update the organization of it all. Seems that there's so many coins now they had to change some of the code to make it all fit.

At one point, there were very few sell orders on bter. Even though that the volume is still going on, although not as fast as this morning.

Edit: network error when trying to add a sell order. No wonder there are so few sell orders.

So now you support scamcoins? Switch based on if you own some coins or not, right? Pathetic.

Stop slandering alternative crypto-currencies.

Apart from being around longer - which is not a real advantage in my book?

I mined them with my CPU fair and square over many months, we CPU miners were fortunate to be given many months of peace and quiet while the GPU miners were off mining whatever they thought to be the most profitable coin to mine.

When the GPUs came back it was no longer feasible to CPU mine the coin but of course the GPU miners tend to only consider a coin profitable if they can dump it at firesale prices as fast as they mine it so naturally they demanded exchanges and at last the CPU miners who quietly lullabied the coin through its period of being left for dead by the GPU miners are finally able to benefit from their long months of keeping alive a network that the GPU miners could not be bothered to maintain.

Nothing scammy about that at all.

Similarly it is no secret that Tenebrix and Fairbrix have also been humming along all this time mined only by CPU miners. I wonder when the GPU miners will jump back on those?

Pretty sure it's 0.000269 vs. 0.00027, which are both expressed as 0.00027 in the tables. There are more digits of precision when hovering over bars in the graph.

I only sold just over one million before the exchange opened, so what do you think?

I am not sure how much Captain Chadd sold.

Also, where do you think the 5 million to freeze into vaults so that 5 million digiBBQ can be issued on an Open Transactions server is going to come from? Five hundred people all putting in ten thousand or five people each putting in a million?

(Or one person putting in five million! Whoo hoo! :))
