Title: Re: Looking for the scam or potential scam section. It involves 2 exchanges. Post by: philipma1957 on June 19, 2017, 12:12:51 AM Hey bitfinex stole from me last year along with hundreds of others.
I left them and this was just a fractional payback of what they lost or stole last year. They are why I ended the contest last year. Now they are being a weasel about this payment and don't answer my emails. To make it worse poloniex does not answer my inquiries on this. So I have to spend time writing a warning thread about both exchanges since they are not doing their jobs correctly . I don't care about 30usd in coin as you said i am giving more then $50 away in the free contest. This it to warn people of shoddy service on the part of two major exchanges . No sure if I should post it here. But some one will chime in I am sure. The two explorer changes don't agree. That is an issue Thats the point Title: Re: Looking for the scam or potential scam section. It involves 2 exchanges. Post by: adaseb on June 19, 2017, 01:17:20 AM Basically something seems wrong with Poloniex ETC wallet. Because when you send ETH/ETC (needs to be > 1 on Polo) it takes a few minutes for it to get redirected to another address, yours is still stuck on your deposit address, this seems to be an issue on Poloniex's end. I think they just need to resync the wallet and it should be fine. There is proof that it got deposited to the correct address and you shouldn't worry. Bitfinex sometimes has delays with their withdraws lately because to save on fees they started grouping transactions together. So if you withdraw BTC or LTC (maybe ETH/ETC) what they do is they wait until there are like 20-30 withdraws at the same time and they combine the transaction together. So it will have many inputs and many outputs and this sometimes causes delays. Poloniex is overloaded with new traders and busy approving people's IDs so they can get their tier upgraded, so that's why its taking a while for them to respond to your ticket, but I am sure this will resolve in itself. Title: Re: Looking for the scam or potential scam section. It involves 2 exchanges. Post by: Quickseller on June 19, 2017, 01:20:54 AM According to one of the links (http://gastracker.io/addr/0x1417d559cd82764475830418d0a5a0e0b6bd79c2) you posted in your OP, the transaction was confirmed in block 3895841 of ETC.
The picture you posted with the red "unconfirmed transaction" is a "key" of what all the "descriptions" of transactions mean. If you have not received credit on your poloiex poloniex account then I would suggest that you contact poloniex (and/or open a thread about poloniex). Whenever I deposit/withdraw any kind of coin from any exchange, I will always deposit from/sent to an address whose private key I control in case there are any issues with the transaction. Trading platforms have a duty to make sure payouts happen as quickly as possible.
In the world of trading if you have to wait 6 hr's or more for your money.. you can lose a fortune! If they can't keep up with new registrations.. CLOSE them.. its bad practice for a trading platform to focus on new customers when existing ones are waiting for payouts. Its unacceptable.. no matter small trader or larger.. Possibly they are now under so much load they can't keep up.... That's a warning sign in my eyes. Title: Re: Looking for the scam or potential scam section. It involves 2 exchanges. I did contact them 3 times. Frankly the problem is they just don't answer . Like I said it is not much money but just think if it was 10 eth . or more. I have been sending them a contact each day and I got one auto response on the first one and zero follow up. Both of these exchanges have done shit like this to me before but I figure I may as well write about it here and link this to the exchanges. I do think that 2 blockchain explorers should be in synch since it is not a junk coin so to speak. I never keep much money in these two exchanges because frankly their service has been shitty time and time again. Title: Re: Looking for the scam or potential scam section. It involves 2 exchanges. Post by: Quickseller on June 19, 2017, 03:20:35 AM I still don't understand what your concern about bitfinex is. You requested a withdrawal to a certain address, bitfinex processed that withdrawal and sent the requested amount to the requested address, and the transaction confirmed.
I don't think it would make very much sense to blame bitfinex if you told them to send your BTC to someone like Lauda, and Lauda subsequently ran away with your money. As such, I don't think it makes sense to blame bitfinex if you told them to send ETC to poloniex and poloniex subsequently did not credit your account. I was not clear enough this explorer shows no coins https://etcchain.com/addr/0x1417d559cd82764475830418d0a5a0e0b6bd79c2 this explorer shows coins http://gastracker.io/addr/0x1417d559cd82764475830418d0a5a0e0b6bd79c2 that is a direct conflict and of course Poloniex does not show my 1.52 ETC Both companies don't answer my emails on this. If both explorer's did show the money I would be all over Poloniex.com But the fact is according to etcchain.com I have zero coin. So bitfinex has not addressed this issue for me.. Like I said not much coin I really don't care about the coin. I do care that bitfinex does not address the conflict in blockchain explorer. If this was serious money they would lose in a civil suit for not addressing this. I also care that others may be having this issue of gastracker.io and etcchain.com having a conflict in info and exchanges saying fuck off. So for now I consider both exchanges wrong for not addressing this conflict in blockchain explorer info I call it a possible scam in the making. my funds are locked in space and one company (poloniex) does not answer me at all. while the other company (bitfinex) does not address the conflict in explorer information. Not good practice by them at all. I am sending more emails to poloniex and bitfinex asking them to view this thread and how to : A) fix the problem B) explain the blockchain explorer conflict. see screen shot below https://i.imgur.com/VAuskhe.png |
