3 days ago after such a large increase its already at 30 USD, and now its 50 USD? ??? Thats unreal! I did not expect LTC to make such a comeback, and now LTC is dominating Poloniex and other exchange sites too, cool! ;D

Yes, nice to take some good profit around the 50 range and leave LTC behind. Been bag holding for 3 years.  :D

Look at the values of all the coins, especially the top 20 in Marketcap, e.g. Ripple, Nem, ZCash, Dash etc.  most of them are over valued at the moment, so LTC surge was just around to corner.

too bad i didn't listen to this speculation after earning some 30% of my small investment i already sold my ltc and move to another alt
after seeing this large jumped i was impress and its seems that it will continue to rise up even more, so i'll try to make some entry
again.

It's really doing very good for itself, I have been reading this other article earlier today, and it reached more than $2 Bln Market Cap. I am impressed.

Litecoin is probably number 2 in marketcap by now if it haven't been an ASIC mine coin.

After so much frenzy around ICOs in H1, maybe H2 will be about good undervalued POW coins like LTC and MONA...

The market needs to switch back to coins with good fundamentals.

Fundamentals? I mean... This coin is held by the few not the many. It's not what I'd call decentralized. The only thing it has got going for it, imho, is that it could be called the original alt coin. Other than that, I hope it dies and hands it place to fairly distributed, inclusive coins with a more ideological basis.

Where do you get the information from, that this coin is held by the few not the many? Do you have any number of users who held litecoin?

F2Pool mining pool has > 51% of hashing power. Though it does not answer your question, but gives understanding on "decentralization" aspect.

LTC has been around since 2011 so I believe it is the second best decentralized currency after BTC.

Litecoin does well what Bitcoin is supposed to do. And it's the original 'alt coin'. It should be at least 1/10th of the BTC's Price

Ltc is the next big pump I think.

Coinmarketcap for November 28th 2013 show price over $53.  So still need some time to go. But new ATH is a sure thing for LTC.

thats right and i think its been a good year for LTC and many of us is happy with this. i really happy to see that LTC is going to the moon although i don't have much of LTC in my wallet but it will help me to make money like the others. there are many predicting for LTC and i am sure right now, many people will have big smile in their face.

litecoin has done well this days and I sold my early though am not regretting as I still made few profit. I have decided to buy litecoin when ever it pull back. I expect the price to pull back to 30$ before make further movement again.

I dont consider this new ATH. on bitfinex the top today was 49.99, BTC-e 49.48.

All time high so far on bitfinex $55 in nov2013.
BTC-e was 48.48 in 2013 (so new high there, but close and only briefly, so it was actually retest)
So no, not new ATH yet for me, until it makes significant breach and sustain it for longer than few minutes

I believe in litecoin will hit $100 anytime . So its better to buy litecoin and hold it for few months for sure you will earn a lot of profit after that. Litecoin is one of my promising coin . Base on the research I see the potential of this coin to become more popular in the future. So its better dont sell you litecoin buy more ltc and hold it for the profit.  Lovelitecoin. More litecoin more money to come.

Litecoin ATH on Kraken in 2013 was ~ $63 so still need to get over that before
we can start talking about $100 and above later his year. Not selling it until

But quite impressive Litecoin not being dumped harder, I think it is just gaining momentum for another jump that might test the $100, or even more.

And can you share how many coins were in sell orders between (say) $50 and $63? I guess not. :) I'm also not sure how big was their volume back then as I'm not following Kraken closely. Anyway... a momentary movement on a certain coin's price can determine its average price, but even back then LTC didn't passed $50. As far as I remember it reached $48, or $46 - can't say for sure.


CoinMarketCap, but a lot of exchanges are now gone, so it's a bit hard. But I am quite sure LTC never surpassed $50.

As LTC is more useful than ripple, i think it will surpass it within 1-2years to become #3 by marketcap. Therefore my long term target is $250+ (but true, a lot of things can change over time, so it may or may not happen)

I am happy for the recent surge of Litecoin though it took a while for this coin to finally fly. In fact, I already sold my stash a month ago when it reached $24 (I bought mine when it was still in the $10 range so I made some nice profits).

Now, had I hold it and not given up, then i would have enjoyed a very good returns on my investment. Anyway, this is very normal when we do trade our coins. There are times when we get bored and sold the coin then that's the time it would rise up and you are left scratching your head wondering what happened.

After the Segwit in Litecoin, I was expecting the value to at least double but I was then disappointed because it just nudged a little. I think that the time has really come for Litecoin - the unofficial little brother of Bitcoin.

Be realistic, in nowadays, LTC not more than speculative coin for pump & dump. It was very obvious that it will not go more than 0.02, shall see where it stops, as I predicted above somewhere 0.012 - 0.016.

I sold my litecoins on 19 mbtc, I made a nice profit with litecoins and for me this rise was expected, we talk about it here for months that price will go up. My first litecoins were bought for 3 mbtc, and I`m not greedy with trading, better something then nothing. I`m more concentrated now on some other much cheaper coins for now I can say just thank you to litecoin for nice profit, and if price drop I will buy litecoins again.


Holding for long term looks like a good thing to do with most altcoins, no matter what some people say prices shows much more. Maybe litecoin price can touch 250$ one day, but I needed money now. Like I`m always saying some people can wait, some can`t.

yeah its good to hold altcoins and make a good profit in the long term just like what happen to NEM , lets hope LTC would touch 250$ im sure it will give huge profits to those who still didnt sell their altcoin till now. people who dont have patience always go for ico's to make easy profit

Ico's are quite thrend right now thats why you cannot blame people to go with it since its really profitable if they are using their heads to play this kind of coin when it added on exchange since mostly it  is prone to dump and pump scheme. And to lucky for those people who have patience and belief on LTC since as of now surely they are earning some good profits already with it.

So we have new trends here in crypto, long term holding. After all nobody gonna bother bag-holders anymore, it turn out they were smart investors. Every day you can learn something new here, we are in process of accommodations to this crypto evolution, we must be happy that we are part of all this. So buy and hold LTC will reward you one day maybe.

It's good to be hear that litecoin surpassed the $50, I think this is the start of standing​ on their own feet of litecoin. If this value was continues, more investors were attracted to invest in litecoin.
