Title: Mt Gox - third party transfer. Experience?
Post by: bsw1000 on May 07, 2013, 07:57:00 AM
Anyone with experience in this, please post for the rest of us to avoid having our funds potentially locked.

Will Mt. Gox allow a third party transfer posted to my Verified (but not trusted) Mt. Gox account?

Can I receive a payment for an item I sold over the web (as a deposit from a third party) to my Mt.Gox account or will AML dept lock/seize/freeze my account etc?  A normal bank account can receive one fine from anyone.

I want to buy BTC with it fast, and sold gold bullion to a gold dealer who is offering a wire transfer-

Anyone who has experience in this,  please respond-

I tried to transfer some funds from my company account to my verified personal Mt.Gox account. Nothing happened for over a week so I contacted support. They told me that my funds are pending ID check and required me to submit complete wire details and the certificate of incorporation of my company.

You will likely experience same issues if the funds are coming from another person/company than your own.

thanks. Yes, it's a personal account and the wire would come from a business account and a company I don't own.  Sounds like I would be unable to send them incorporation letters, etc.  Sounds like a problem.  Did they eventually free up your deposit?  I've heard of them holding funds for a long period of time.

Anyone else experience with this?
