Title: Gigabyte RX580 Gaming 8gb (Hynix) low hashrate?
Post by: lzxe92 on June 21, 2017, 01:09:41 PM
Hello guys.

I did the bios mod 1750 to 2000 for both the card
However i can only hit 24mh/s per card   :'( :'(

anyway to increase the mh/s? increasing the memory seems to decrease the hash rate.

You cannot do anything more for this card because of the limitation of Hynix memory being the memory with the lowest performance for this card. Next time before you buy please check which Memory the card has, just google it GPU-Z database of the specific card you are going to buy. Samsung Memory can go easily up to 31 Mhash with the RX 580. However even with 24 Mhash is not that bad for mining Ethereum.

I have the same cards. Mining at 30.5 mh/s per card :/ I flashed the sapphire pulse hynix 8gb rom to them and worked wonders. Used this http://1stminingrig.com/best-bios-rom-for-sapphire-pulse-rx-580-8gb-oc-hynix-memory-30-mhs/

please only do this at your own risk. Just because it worked for me does not mean it will work for you. Make sure you backup your original bios!

I underclocked core to 1130, memory to 2175, and undervolted by 150mv. That gave me 30.5 mh.s for each card.
