Title: Re: Coin of the week Post by: jrlepage on May 07, 2013, 02:19:09 PM Lol I wish... I am sitting here with 6 wallets running on my screen and mining 4 different coins (2 on my computer, 2 on my wife's split between GPU and CPU). Wish I could just focus on one and be done with it, but it's hard to pick the winning horse.
Obvious choices are BTC and LTC, but I am still hopeful that one of the others will surge enough to make some dough. Right now I'm holding out hope for: -MNC -PPC -BTB -FTC -CNC Any thoughts? Title: Re: Coin of the week Post by: eddyfitz on May 07, 2013, 02:41:17 PM I guess it will be YACoin ;D
Title: Re: Coin of the week Post by: bigfish321 on May 07, 2013, 03:43:29 PM I don't know, I am still new to this. But I am hoping PPC does ok!
Title: Re: Coin of the week Post by: shanonism on May 07, 2013, 04:44:38 PM CNC
Title: Re: Coin of the week Post by: lytecoin on May 07, 2013, 04:52:43 PM I'm not sure which one will emerge from the pack. All of them have decreased in value over the last few days, but that might be in correlation to BTC's drop. If so there might be a slight correction coming up, but don't expect in the short term for them to jump. Too many battling coins.
Title: Re: Coin of the week Post by: Ricko on May 07, 2013, 04:59:44 PM Too many coins for my liking. As somebody new to Bitcoin i was completely baffled by the amount of coins and how to store them all etc
Just sticking to BTC/NMC for now. Title: Re: Coin of the week Post by: barwizi on May 07, 2013, 05:08:27 PM I guess it will be YACoin ;D hahaha, i been watching it very closely ;D Lol I wish... After my own heart, I'm on CNC, LTC, FTC, BTC and i'm reading on BBQ and MINcoin. CNC I was lucky to jump on that train right quick, managed to buy my Pc's back two-fold. I don't know, I am still new to this. But I am hoping PPC does ok! If you are new to this, you may want to stalk my watchlist, i keep 2-4hour tabs on all upcoming cryptos. I'm not sure which one will emerge from the pack. All of them have decreased in value over the last few days, but that might be in correlation to BTC's drop. If so there might be a slight correction coming up, but don't expect in the short term for them to jump. Too many battling coins. Nice assesment. Oh well.... this is still a cloud idea but i'm in a varsity and our department has a few ambitious programmers, they have been looking at the LTC code and they all have suspicious looks in thier eyes. I'll be sure to keep my felloe "newbies" posted on the progress. Too many coins for my liking. As somebody new to Bitcoin i was completely baffled by the amount of coins and how to store them all etc Just sticking to BTC/NMC for now. Sticking an arm out sometimes helps. The guy who introduced me to all this ignored my PMs telling him to mine FTC, when it hit the market he was scrambling, but already it was too late to make obscene profit. Try a little, you never know. Title: Re: Coin of the week Post by: Eli0t on May 07, 2013, 05:13:04 PM coin of the week is jokecoin as its the only one iv mined a block of ;)

NMC tanked in the last 2 days Title: Re: Coin of the week Post by: c0de on May 08, 2013, 09:47:53 AM it looks like yacoin didnt happen, the developer went quiet but people found the gitbhub and started compiling and mining it anyway, its gone from a average of 1 new coin every few days to 1 a day or even more With 0 or any reason to do so except maybe wishful thinking so a pump-and-dump scheme can be done. While the difficulty is still low! I think this coin has better survival chances due to how it will become rare, like its parent coin Nova coin, the returns per block have a steady reduction based on time and overall hashrate. Best part is that it is currently cpu only, ergo the playing field is still manageable. Of course we can expect a gpu port in a few weeks to months but hopefully by then the market would be stable. Considering the huge market shift from Bitcoin to alt coins due to inaccessibility of ASIC's and their price, coupled with the very high difficulty of BTC and LTC, this coin may become popular with the masses due to the cpu implementation and reletavely low difficulty. Marketers may find this coin viable due to its dwindling rewards per block which will push the price to a competitive rate, current estimates are in the range of (0.007 and 0.013) /btc. This is more of a store of value coin that what was being attempted by the other alt coins. Most were seeking immediate adoption into mainstream markets hoping to make it rich fast, but this seems to be a more mature approach with a sustainable supply and hopefully a medium acceptance quota. (too high would invite the pumpers and dumpers, too low would reduce the value) Oh, and since its solo mined :) hahaha the DDos bwoys wont push it out of market Thoughts anyone? Maybe Litecoin as well at best..
This seems like a very easy way for con's to make a quick buck I'm feeling. Considering it doesn't take much to get interest among people. Title: Re: Coin of the week Post by: usafinders on May 08, 2013, 12:10:01 PM I guess it will be YACoin
