Last time I used the one from Chrome store. I liked it, it's pretty well done and maintained. However, there are not too many WAVES wallets (at least from what I know).
Here's also a link for you: https://wavesplatform.com/downloads.html

The Lite-Client app for Chrome is full featured. I've used it to create and trade assets. Their decentralized exchange is built right into the wallet.

One of the best features of Waves is its Chrome wallet. It is pretty easy to use and you do not need extra software, just a Google Chrome browser which most of us uses.
To install it, just browse to the following link with your chrome browser and click "add to chrome" button.
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/wavesliteapp/kfmcaklajknfekomaflnhkjjkcjabogm?hl=en

I have used it for a long time now and I just love it. Updates are installed automatically so you do not have to maintain anything.

Hey guys created an account.  However is there a way to change your password etc?

I cannot find this on the options.

Also so the address that is shown where you use to log in... is that the waves address you give sites or others if they send you waves?

What is the encoded seed, private key and public key?

I believe the seed is what you need if you want to restore your waves client on new computer right?

So what is encoded seed, private key and public key?  Do i have to copy and save those somewhere?

Also could you buy waves on this client?  Because it seems to offer this option when you click on waves/usd?  But how can you even buy waves this way since i assume you have to connect bank account?  Also notice there is waves/btc under favorites.  Could you buy waves with btc with this client?

If I'm not wrong as of now you can't change the password for the wallet after you create the first time. That feature is still under development.

That address your is wallet address which you can use to receive your waves to your wallet.

Yes, that is the seed you need to restore your waves wallet on any other computer so we shouldn't share it with anyone. Keep it safe. If I'm wrong in any of the above info, please help to update me.

I've been using the Waves lite client with no issues.  Get it from the Chrome web store.

Yes, the address shown on your log in is the address you receive your WAVES.

You copy the seed and remember the basic details like your address and password, then you can use online platforms like waveswallet.io also to access it.

To get your first waves, unfortunately, you would have to deposit from somewhere else as the client charges 0.003 WAVES fee for every transaction, including buying.

I recommend Bittrex to get your first WAVE then you can start using your wallet.

If you are interested in leasing, check out the details I compiled here! :)

Okay so the address that shows on the log is the address i receive my waves.  But its also my login to my account?   So if someone knows my waves address, then assuming they get my password, they can access my account?  That doesnt seem that good idea if you know what i mean.

When i get my first waves, would shapeshift be fine if i exchange bitcoin for waves?  What do you mean you have to deposit from someone else?  Im confused about this.

Yes in a way, your address is your username, like the picture shown below. Choose a strong password, and of course don't disclose it to anyone.

Shapeshift is a new service to me, and it seems it has good reviews. You can use shapeshift, just follow their instructions will do, deposit Bitcoin to the given address, and give them your WAVES address. :)

This is just an example^

Well Waves is similar in this respect…. It is a platform for launching other blockchain projects. Hence it will eventually get the same type of exposure. But Waves exposure is only just beginning with recent successful ICO’s as well as many upcoming ones… MobileGO, Incent, EncryptoTel, ZrCoin, Tokes, Darcrus, PrimalBase, Starta, CryptoPing.

Im using waveswallet app for android. I find this easier to use since i wont need to open my wallet on browser just click on the app enter my pass and done. I also believe that apps are more safe(provided u have backups if ever you lost your device) from being victim of phishing sites that emitate the real ones and fooling people to enter their credentials to that phishing site.

Hi all,

I hope someone can help me with this one.  I created a waves wallet some months ago using the lite client.  When I launch the lite client now it asks me to import my wallet so I type in my seed and it asks me to type name and password and confirm password.  I notice that this logs me into my wallet even if I type any password (other than the password I originally set it to)...

Any ideas or am I doing something totally wrong? - Why would it ask me to enter my password twice to import my wallet / seed?

thanks in advance  ;D

EDIT: found some info on this - got this working now

I have security concerns using a wallet that is a browser plugin. Is there a good reasoning that can dispel my worries ?

Does anyone have a recommendation of what wallet to use for waves coin?

I use electrum for btc.  I tested out myetherwallet for ETH.

You can use waveswallet for storing your waves token. If you want to hold it for a very long time, you can use also myetherwallet. It is safe to keep all your tokens in that wallet. You must keep your security key, password, and seeds to access all your tokens.

i don't think wave can use MEW for wallet or you mean change wave to eth and hold in MEW.

Yes, if it is ethereum, myetherwallet is a very suitable wallet and very nice for you, I recommend it. If for waves, I suggest you to use https://waveswallet.io/, or you can download it using desktop version. But usually I use chrome extension, it's very easy and quick to access my waves wallet.

I want to say that this wallet (That mentioned in the post) is only safe and secure for waves wallet. Also you can use android apps for waves. I only using this 2 method fro storing my waves. You can also use exchange platform website for storing your waves coin.but i dont think that will be a good choose. because with out private key no one wallet is safe to use.

Exactly right said. Wavesplatform wallet is not secure enough. Every day a lot of wallets is hacked. But which wallet has private key or 2step Authentication it always stays safe.

This is the official wallet?
It can be installed on windows system or it's an online feature like MEW?
Private keys, phrase are yours or stored online?

If I use this Chrome plugin, can I log into wallet on different computers or not?

How much time does it take to send my Waves in exchange back?
