We really need a developer to create a coin that is energy efficient as all scrypt coins take about an additional 20% power/day then SHA-256 which I would never mine scrypt coins if ASIC's didn't ruin SHA-256.

You can also, with some ingenuity, have a coin that is both ASIC and botnet unfriendly. It just has to be mining-unfriendly in general. The link is in my signature for such a proposal.
