yes for me though it is so long anime, but the story still get me excited of it every time i watch that anime.

I have watch so many animes that has a great story line like one piece. So for me it not the best but it is one of the best.Well, I know that People might disagree but this is just my opinion.

yes maaannnn... the story and character is so simple but i really like it.

for now i'll choose Kingdom. one piece is great definitely a masterpiece but the pacing is very slow. every chapter feels like there is no progress at all especially the manga and there's  almost a break every 4 chapters in the manga. meaning more fillers in the anime for them not to catch up in the manga.

It is one of my favorites. It was on the top of my list till I started watching "Hunter x Hunter". Now it is difficult to rank them. So now I have tow favorites.

I didn't get the chance to watch the anime. But for Me the best Classic anime is Dragon Ball Z and Naruto. These two anime are the best for Me.

This anime is one of my favorites to watch , i love one piece specially the straw hats pirates , i always watch this anime every sunday which their episodes are updated every week. When i have a free time i watch their episodes at starts until the latest ,. I even read spoilers about what will happen in the future of one piece , will luffy and his crew , can defeat one of the four emperors , kaido the beast or not. The latest anime is where luffy waits for his chef crew , sanji the blackfoot to comeback for them. In that scene i almost cry , . i will say that one piece is sure one of the best anime i have ever watch.

I can say that one piece is one of the best anime but not really the best. It all depends on how people will describe what is best for them..Let's say some people like, action, drama, porn etc..I for example watched one piece since episode 1 and has been following it on a weekly basis..However i still watch other anime series other than one piece.

I agree. I have been watching this series for so long and still you can’t predict what will happen next since there’s a lot of twist in the storyline that excites an avid viewer like me.

Definitely wrong. Too many fillers. Shallow story, shallow premise. It's just another cookie cutter Anime that only exists to make money and nothing else.

it's debatable. In terms of story, it certainly feels like it has the most weight to it. Gold and Strong World were more akin to fun adventure stories, while this is almost a character study. Zephyr is given way more development in the movie than either Tesoro or Shiki were in their movies. Sure Tesoro was given a little depth, but not enough to make him truly complex. However, I feel like the fight between Luffy and Tesoro was more action-packed and exciting. Also felt his subordinates were kind of lacking in personality, other than being insanely loyal to Z and one of them having a slight quirk, there wasn't much to them. I guess it's really a matter of preference.

For me it is not "the best" but I must admit it is really good. I started watching just recently and I'm currently at episode 156. You know when they were in sky kingdom. My favorite character so far is roronoa zoro because he is  quite cool. The best anime in my opinion is fairytail, though that changes everytime. Its closest rival is akatsuki no yona.

Yes it is the best anime that is ongoing so far, they say that they're ending it in 2020, they said that they wont be following on the real story because it would take 20years to finish thats why their going to end it very soon

I love the anime from the 80's Tonari no Totoro and Hotaru no haka, they are the most interesting, all the up-to-date ones are much worse.

Yes one of the best anime but it's not my no.1 anime. try to watch dragon ball super for me this is my no. 1 for this moment but lots of you need to watch like boku no hero, hunter x hunter, attack on titan great anime.

Im actually following the weekly launches. So many years watching this and...its, so great, so emotional. So, I dont know if its a masterpiece or whatever but all the story is like a part of me now; with all the life lessons that they want to transmit to us.

I love one piece , specially nami , i love her character , because she is sexy , strong woman , a great navigator of the strawhat pirates , lovely and a beautiful woman. I often wat h their latest episode every week. And actually i am an avid fan of this anime eversince it was open in public for viewing. And i can say also that this anime is the best ever that i have been watched and continue to watch for.

Yes indeed. I really love how the story goes especially when all the flash backs are all connected now on the present. I'm really amazed on how the story flows, I've watched all the episodes and until now I'm still waiting every sunday for the new episode.

One piece is fine but for me it's not the best anime ever. At the first time i thought OP was the best anime ever. But after i watched another anime beside OP, i have to say there's lot of animes that have better development story than op. Most people only watch OP, Naruto & Dragonball. Atleast try another anime beside them.

One piece is one of the anime that i really love since i was little. First time i knew one piece i was 7 years old when the film is aired in television station every sunday. Because there are no internet like now (now we can watch, reading the comics via online), when i was little every sunday i always stay tuned in front of television to watch one piece. The story of one piece is so amazing, funny, challenging, and unpredictable that's why i love it the most. Besides watching it, i begun to collect all the one piece's comics that published. Until now, i am still a big fan of one piece. I never bored to watch or read the episode that i have already done.
In one piece i really like Usopp character who is never give up in his life and he is a funny person.

I was watching the One Piece, When I was 16/17 around. And now? I'm still watching this anime  ;D One Piece is the best anime, I have ever watched. I watched and followed a lot of animes until today. For instance, Bleach, Naruto, Beyblade  ;D , Full Metal Alchemist, Death Note, Hunter x Hunter, Gintama etc.
But, One Piece's writers absolutely different to other writers. When you read it, you can feel the mind games and impressive fiction.

For the present i'll pick Kingdom. one piece is incredible certainly a showstopper however the pacing is moderate. each part feels like there is no advance at all particularly the manga and there's just about a break each 4 sections in the manga. meaning more fillers in the anime for them not to make up for lost time in the manga.

I really like these famous anime in Japan like One Piece, Naruto and Fairy tale. I learnt many things from these anime. Never give up without a try, never give up a friend, fighting for people who love you and someone you love and also having your own dream.

I think One Piece is even better than Naruto, Bleach, FMA, and most other top animes in the past... I really love following Luffy and the crew's growth as the story develops...

This is fantastic! The way they balance the characters, you could even try to match the characters on your head and you will know who is going to win. This is how consistent this anime is.

I don't think one piece is the best anime ever. It could be one of the best not the best ever... There are better ones such as naruto, fairy tail, boku no hero academia which are nicest and more interesting than one piece.

I also think one piece is the best anime ever despite its long release schedule but the anime is worth to wait, I've been following this anime for about 10 years and I never get bored because one piece full of surprises

One piece has to be the only anime where I actually like ALL of the main characters. They are all so different and unique and yet I love them all. The fights are brilliant and it's the only anime which I can stand to watch in English subbed. There's nothing quite like it and it really touches your heart. Every character has been through so much and you're there through it all. Luffy is always so funny and he's not too strong like some of the other main characters in other animes. Its like one punch and the fight is over. But he does have his cool moments where he sweeps away his opponents from time to time. Even though the anime is long there isn't a single part of it in which I got bored watching it, like Bleach and the bounts. (you know what I'm talking about because most people stopped watching bleach at this point) If you haven't seen One Piece than please do your self a favor and start watching it. You will forever be in love with the Straw Hat Crew.

Yes for me. I have been watching ONEPIECE at the age of 16 now i'm 22 years old and still watching the creator of this anime is super smart to put a lot of twist great story.

That is entirely based on personal preference. The manga is the number one best selling manga right now and I think that is because of its life span. One piece has been going on for 15+ years gaining momentum as an adventure epic. Introduced to young, new generations while still catering to its old audience is key. Eiichiro Oda is also like a modern Shakespeare, leaving this epic with little to no plot holes at this time.

I myself am a huge One Piece fan, but I would not say One Piece is the best anime ever. Now, I love the story arcs and the characters tremendously – in terms of that, One Piece, in my opinion, is definitely my favorite. However, I really do not like the animation of the series nowadays. Anime and manga tell basically the same story, and the biggest different would be that in anime, everything is animated. I know right, what a surprise! So, in anime, one of the biggest thing I look for is the art quality and animation quality. With One Piece, it seems like Toei Animation has….slacked off.

The fact that one piece is super long is the real reason why its  very good anime also oda(author) still left so many mysteries in the storyline just that is why its so intriguing and not the casual anime wherein the main character is op as hell luffy is still getting stronger with character development.

I do not like to watch cartoons, and nowadays there are so many commercials that are being advertised and released on the market. I tried watching an anime movie, but I still do not like it.

Where do I start. I watch anime my whole life, a little bit of every type. In terms of what greatest really means I understand DBZ being over one piece, however, one piece is hands down the best anime I've seen. I'm a huge Naruto fan everything from ep.1 until now, the 4th ninjas war, sasuke and itachi fighting kabuto, but I got annoyed with filler and it's starting to take a turn away from one of the most interesting aspects the whole ninja tactics and planned strategy. I looked around and one piece was heavily suggested to me. I didn't want to watch it because I didn't like it when it originally aired on toonami years ago. I decided to give it a shot from ep. 1... My mind is blown! I'm much other then I was when the DBZ was my favorite and it manages to hook me in much stronger. I watched every episode and made the always rough transition from dubbed to subbed and now I'm completely caught up. (Franky shotgun is currently fighting baby 5 on punk hazard which Monet has just.

Have learned it from my husband whose also reading the manga version and it seems to have different nice plots so I decided to start watching it though right now i'd to stop watching coz im busy with taking care of my child. Will find some other time to resume watching it.

Many would not want to watch this anime just for the reason that the characters doesn't look quite nice compare to other animes, I would admit that I was one of them. However, I tried watching the first episode just to give it a try because there were some friends who bugged me to watch it, and I must say, I was hooked immediately! Storyline was by far, the greatest amongst all the anime I've watched... And then eventually, you'll also realize that the character design doesn't bother you anymore, in fact, you'll realized that there's a reason why the characters looked like that, and for me I thought, yeah! The character design suited their personality. Now I understand the creator why he designed the characters to look like that.

One piece is the most awesome and epic anime I've ever seen. Personally, it's my favorite considering that I have watched a bunch of anime's already. The story is unique. Seriously oda-sensei is great. The way he connects the story is way too awesome that it sometimes leaves you in shock and just say to your self "wow". You really can't hate any of the characters that is shown in one piece. As a matter of fact, you grow to love all of them specially luffy. The development of the characters are awesome too from the strawhat crew, their allies and all their enemies. You really can't help but have fun, laugh and giggle on your seat while watching and reading. Seriously, One Piece should be ranked number 1. It's way too awesome.

For me onepiece is number 1 manga for now according to some magazine. And of course because of the ratings of every one piece fans and for continuous good outcomes and of course for more upcoming new episodes. Maybe that's all 😀😀

Cowboy beepop is the best anime ever made in my opinion. Full metal alchemist; Brotherhood is a close second. One piece would be the third on my list.

I find it genius how an anime almost 10 years old still perfectly sticks to the storyline that started in the first episodes. You get covered hints in the first episodes that unveiled 6 years later. Most anime series that are this long, if not all, get their plots and characters lost somewhere on the way, Bleach being the worst at that.
One Piece is all about simple feelings taken to an extreme, to the point of making you cry like a baby or laugh like an idiot. It's the best anime ever and I advise everyone to endure the first episodes and watch it, it's really worth it!

One Piece is the anime that I consider to be the best anime of all times. Why? This amazing anime (which has a unique and specific storyline, a lot of characters with own, sad stories which had a extremely hard life) is set in the 15th, 16th century but it exists in its own unique and amazing world) includes humor, drama, action... The whole story is made up in a chaotic world which shows us-the observer who have a feeling of beeing involved into the story and not just wathcing it, the reality in a sarcastic and ironic way-Drugs, child abuse, wars, homicides, racism, revenge, friendship, love, dreams, hatred, lies, truth which is in the end a lie too and last but not at least hope!... Maybe One Piece has a "long" and "complex" storyline, but I prefer rather a "long" and "complex" story and characters than a boring imitation of One Piece. To be honest i haven't seen that much that anime, but right now, I'm so fan of Nanatsu no taisai, the seven deadly sins, gosh that anime is wonderful!

Some will say that this anime is overrated, boring and probably the characters and how they are drawn sucks. Well let me say this, I was once a hater of the show, pardon me but I just don't know the words, I didn't hate it but I didn't had the willingness to watch it before. It is because of one good reason. It's because I don't have the time. And now I hate myself for not discovering it earlier in my life. Probably this anime has the best plot, best characters, and probably the best humor! Yes, One Piece had it all. Each arc was amazingly done. The author is one genius man. YOU SHOULD WATCH IT! It is the best anime ever I swear it!

One Piece is the best shounen anime of all time! It has such an epic and perfectly written story, powerful emotional scenes that make even a grown 30 year old man like me cry, and fights that are hilarious or incredibly epic. The characters are very charming and have unique traits, after a while you don�'t want to miss ANY of them. Oh, and One Piece has the best comedy by far. I always laugh, I always cry, I always get blown away by the action. I watch / read One Piece since over 10 years and it NEVER bored me even for a single moment. It really is that awesome and in my opinion millions of miles better than DBZ, Naruto and Bleach. Give it a try and don�'t judge it by the art style. For me it seemed weird as well at first but you will grow to love it. Today I can�'t imagine One Piece in any other style! Thank you Eiichiro Oda for this masterpiece!

One piece is just awesome. The plot is so intense, so complicated. There are no nonsense episodes that have no meaning. The imagination of the writer is amazing, the map, the creatures, the powers. It really is epic, you can see the whole world of one piece, unlike many anime's of today that only occur within a small time scale or a limited world. One piece is a window into the world of the Straw Hats. I just can applaud it enough. I could grow old watching this anime.

I'm a big fan of One Piece and for me i's the best anime ever. The pirate adventures and their mystic powers are the best. Also I really like the attitude and personalities of Straw Hat Luffy.

One Piece changed my life for the better. I have to deal with depression, migraines and gender dysphoria. One Piece made me forget all of that. It brought be an would of adventure, friendship and magic. I can't thank the series enough for helping me find the beauty in life and for teaching me be grateful for the people around me and the things that I have. I can't claim to have half of the problems of the characters in One Piece. They went through a series of heartache but they pulled through and that is what I love about them. One Piece brings back all the basic lessons that we often miss out on: be loyal to your friends, keep moving more despite the pain, don't give up especially not on yourself, and much more. Not only that, but I find myself caring for the characters as though they were my flesh and blood. I cried for Going Merry, a ship, which goes to show you how powerful the story is. For some One Piece may be a great series, but for me it was miracle.

One piece has to be the only anime where I actually like ALL of the main characters. They are all so different and unique and yet I love them all. The fights are brilliant and it's the only anime which I can stand to watch in English subbed. There's nothing quite like it and it really touches your heart. Every character has been through so much and you're there through it all. Luffy is always so funny and he's not too strong like some of the other main characters in other animes. Its like one punch and the fight is over. But he does have his cool moments where he sweeps away his opponents from time to time. Even though the anime is long there isn't a single part of it in which I got bored watching it, like Bleach and the bounts. (you know what I'm talking about because most people stopped watching bleach at this point) If you haven't seen One Piece than please do your self a favor and start watching it. You will forever be in love with the Straw Hat Crew.

This anime should be only behind dragon ball Z. Dragon Ball z is number because it changed the way anime should be and opened the doors to One Piece itself. One Piece on the other hand took over from Dragon Ball Z and removed all the negatives of DBZ. There is no other anime that has a better story line, character development, story pregression logical progression and no inconsistencies in the story. Anybody who rate OP behind Naruto certainly has not seen OP in its entirety, yes it starts slow but damn it gets better and better, the most amazing thing about it is that the best is yet to come. Unlike anime that starts hot but fade as the author has ran out ideas trying to prolong the story resulting in diminished quality.

It's my favorite Japanese show. The live action movies are vary bad but the anime is awesome. I watched it 3times already and still doesn't bother me that the show is made in 4:3 format.

This show should be #1 because it's amazing! What I really like about it is each character has their own characteristics if that makes any sense. Like mostly all of them are unique in their own way. Like Luffy being the careless captain who does whatever he wants without thinking ahead; not to mention his unrelenting confindence in everything he does. And how he's stays true to his goals, morals, and friends. And then there's Zoro who is forever getting lost, but he's so serious sometimes. And Nami who is the brains in the group who steals stuff (cat burgular). And Usopp the lying coward. I mean, the way you can just easily identify the characters amazes me! Its hard not to like any of them! OH and don't even GET me started on the storyline!...

It's all about taste, but I think this anime appeals to the majority of people because of the quantity of characters and their development, also the story is really touching and thrilling, with a lot of epic moments.

One Piece has captured my imagination completely. The way that the characters support and trust each other is inspiring. Also, the epic fights that go on are just to die for, not to mention the music with the episodes that just gets my heart pounding from all the excitement. Ever since I was little I have dreamed about different superpowers, but this just replaced my ideas with new ones. Thinking about different Devil Fruit powers and how they could be used just blew my mind. Plus the fact that this anime/manga has been going for so long, and never getting boring or straying from the main goal, is amazing in and of itself. This anime/manga will always be my #1.

I'm not going to go in on One Piece like I did other anime on the list. Just know that it's deserving of this number 2 spot. If you want to laugh, cry, root for the main cast, watch awesome fight science, invest in this anime. You will not be disappointed. The adventure is amazing and you grow as well as the characters. I personally invest 11 years of my life to one piece and plan to invest 11 more. I grew up with luffy and company and it almost feels like I'm part of the crew. I cried more for Ace than my own dead family members. When the crew is winning you feel a sense of pride. That's what good writing does. However I will point out, don't watch the anime, just read the manga. The anime gives you a whopping 13 minutes of importance 7 minutes of recap and intro, and about 3 minutes of outro and precap. I only watch when I know it's about to go down. Other than that One Piece is perfection

Most people pass this anime over for it's intimidating amount of episodes, and it's over-the-top art style, and I was like that too. Then, one day, I decided to give it a chance, and it was one of the best decisions I have made in recent history. No anime or manga I have ever experienced had ever really captured and fully explored the adventure genre. Most anime have their plots focused on a short goal that doesn't require much of a journey, rather than having an adventure centered plot. One Piece truly pulls this off, with one of the greatest anime of all time. The only flaws present are slow pacing, filler, and a bit of plot armor, far fewer than many other series that I have seen.

As far back I can remember One Piece has been the bane of my sanity. It has corrupted many a youngin to dream big and stretch their arms to places they clearly could never reach and to this day I cannot think of an anime nearly as obnoxious nor as memorable and loveable as This series. In NO crowd of anime (or otherwise) nerds will you EVER walk into where the title "one piece" was not known in some form or another. And for those Naruto-fast fans, bear in mind this series was around long before that one. I feel only DBZ has the power to override this opinion but no other.

This kind of artwork must watch by each and every person as it involves loyalty in a promise. It also tell us about our dream, which if you stop dreaming you lose. I've watched many popular animes through out my child hood life, most notably Dragon Ball Z, which will stay forever number 1 in my heart. But a couple of months ago, I discovered One Piece. Being in my early 20s, this show did not disappoint one bit. I've been hooked since discovering the show and it's pretty surprising how much I've grown on the characters and the connection I have formed with them. There's been a couple of moments where tears have fallen when I watched the different character introductions and to be honest, I don't cry. One Piece is simply amazing, astounding, a must see anime.

One piece is such a good anime, people who doesn't like one piece are probably just assuming what the anime is all about. I used to like Naruto so much that when I caught up with all episodes of Naruto and Shippuden (ongoing) I got depressed because there's nothing for me to watch, I just have to wait for the episodes. But I think to myself "should I watch one piece? " So after that I was like, "no it's too boring, and the animation is garbage." But after I watched some scenes of one piece from YouTube, I got a bit interested. Then weeks later I was like "screw it I'm a watching one piece" and at the first episode the first scene of the story of gold roger being executed and he said go find "one piece" and it encouraged peolpe to be pirates and one of them was luffy. I got hooked at the first episode the sense of adventure, it just pumped me up, and after that I mostly kept on marathoning one piece...until I caught up (anime one piece is genius)

One piece is a legendary and the best anime ever! I can't believe that it picked number 2 here it deserves to be #1 that's for sure! It has an unique story and about true friendship and following your dreams. I learned from this amazing anime that I should never give up on my dreams and that I should fight for it and what true friendship means. This anime is awesome hilarious and touching. It brings me a lot of laughing from the funny parts and tears from the touching moments like from all the great characters their background. One Piece Is Epic! I can only recommend it.

I've seen a lot of great animes with great stories and plots but, personally, One Piece is on my top list, by far. I know it has a lot of episodes and that's mainly the reason why people don't want to watch it but, don't let the it's length stop you from watching it. It may seem kind of boring at the start but if you keep watching you'll understand more about One Piece and the next thing you know you can't stop watching it. So, for the people who hasn't watched this anime yet I highly recommend that you watch it.

One piece is just amazing. Don't let the the length of episodes discourage you from watching it, it's so worth it. When I actually got to the latest episode "537" I felt like crying because I'd have to wait 1 week for a new episode to come out... And that's like forever! One piece is hilarious, serious and sad at the same time. I'm a 14 year old high school student, and the stories even made me cry. You'd learn to love all the characters in the show! One piece is the best!
