Hi everyone does anybody have any guides on how to setup my rx480 to mine ethereum? ive seen lots of people using claymore etc but cant seem to find a guide on how to get it up and running

Vann, don't be douche, yes this is the internet, but maybe some people are new to mining? every guide I have found isn't straight forward, I came here for help

Ok, here is your straightforward guide since you're too lazy to look.

1/. Setup up your local ETH node to get your payment address:

2/. Install the latest AMD drivers:

If you have a modded Bios on your card and use Windows you will need to patch the Bios signature check:

3/. Install the latest AMD APP-SDK OpenCL Developer kit:

guide is completely wrong




FIRST OF ALL :

Remove the heatsink of your gpu and clean it from the shitty thermal compount the manufacturer putted it on (dont worry about warranty the same you are gonna void it in next steps)

then  grab a stick comfortable enough and a HUGE METAL PIERCER SCREW

screw the  stick in the middle of the gpu core

Congrats you got a gpu miner pick axe.
