Title: scary dream Post by: hopelessinvestor on May 08, 2013, 05:47:31 AM Random topic. So yesterday I sold at $110.50 with the guess that it may breach 100 momentarily.
Put up a buy order at $100.02 and set a price alert on my phone at $100. I remember waking up to the alarm early morning seeing that it hit $98, awesome. Then I went back to bed. Drifting to sleep with bitcoins freshly on my mind, I started dreaming. NOTE: THIS NEXT PART IS MY DREAM, NOT REAL! ------------- I kept visiting the MTGox website and even though I was signing in correctly, It wasn't going through. I was confused and puzzled. Eventually I was able to log in, and then my heart DROPED! My account had been EMPTIED OUT! Some hackers compromised the MTGOX home page and somehow made it into a phishing website, compromising all accounts that tried to log in during that time, and wiping their accounts clean. Fucken scaaaary dream! ------------- I woke up and thought... Ok, time to setup 2-way-authentication. I've heard of malware now targeting client mtgox accounts, so no new surprise there. But as the Dalai Lama has said. Prepare for the worst, Hope for the best. Any of these thoughts ever cross your minds? Also, on a speculative note. Looking at the 6 month trend graph. It looks like we are converging to a value of approx $110? They sent me a email telling me to go to the Gox site and accept the prompt and it walked through from then on. (This was about 5 months ago) |
