Title: Paxful.com Moderators stealing people Bitcoins Codedly, Scam and Fraud Site
Post by: X2bitcoinschain on June 27, 2017, 06:01:51 AM
Hello my fellow reader and Friends, I will like to notify you of this Fast and trending Peer to Peer scam site ( www.Paxful.com ).

PLEASE READ MY STORY

Please, I will Like to advise you if you are a vendor on this site, or that you want to trade on the web,  Do things with caution because both the vendors and the site itself is a scam.

It happens this way, I started trading on Paxful less than 1Months ago, though I created my account with them a year ago, my exchanging site use to be www.Localbitcoins.com .

When I started trading, I mean buying Gift card on this web, I have been seeing many things concerning them, that they are scam site, but I won't listen thinking they are just againsting the good site but not until when it happens to me  :o :-* ;D

THE STORY
I use to buy gift card on the web, I have 90+ positive reputation withing a week of trading with no single bad or negative Feedback ( Check this yourself, my username is https://paxful.com/user/Mankind66, the good thing about my trading is I don't have any Dispute trade, no pending trading, not at all, all the trade going good day by day not until when I try to add to my Paxful Bitcoins so to make more gains. I transfered bulk of BTC to the website before sleeping on 23/06/2017, but on checking my account on 24/06/2017, the account has been suspended. I was in doubt of what might have caused it, am not scamming here, WTF  Could have caused this, I don't know. I email them on that faithful day repeated but they won't reply, and they see the mails ( Am very sure, they are just frastrating people)

I later found out what that lead to the ban, which is absolutely not true

I sent them mail, they refused to reply, I then go to their talk forum to speak with their Forum admin and this is what he sent to me

"( Paxful.com
Ryan
1d

No need to worry, it was suspended by paxful, not hacked. Reason: Brokering on the marketplace. https://kb.paxful.com/knowledgebase/paxful-terms-service/1 paragraph 5)"

And Paxful Paragraph 5 says "
You may NOT broker gift card codes, they must be purchased by you ONLY."

They want the gift card to purchased by the seller only, they forget the name of the card is " GIFT CARD", it can be a gift from your relative or friends, and beside, I have no issue with anyone concerning Gift card of a thing, just that they want to steal some random Vendor Bitcoins to their own

I BEG THEM SEVERALLY, BUT THEY DECIDED TO STEAL IT
I told them its not brokering, that am also a reseller, got cards from people and trade it in some times but they won't listen.  Not even that I have any dispute or any pending trades

They finally reply my mails after Some days

In their mind, they will ban people account and stop replying their mails, thinking the person will forget the Bitcoins and it will belong to them after. But when they finally reply, I was told my coins will be locked and Held for good 12 Months, Wtf? Without scamming anyone? Even if at all you want to ban me, won't I have access to my fund if you yourself are not scammers, the if and Professional scammer?

Telling me they will investigate the account for 12 Months, Really? Is that not a their and scam talk?

They already know I will have forget the coins before then and it will be theirs

All the screenshot below.

My advise to you

Please I once saw post like this and decided to ignore it, not until when it happens to me, stay away and run from this site, they are scamming people indirectly. I need to tell you the fact. Am pretty sure they can't last long.

I won't rest my case, until they allow me to have my funds withdraw. Will make sure Google Have their scam site news on their first page index, so that everyone will stay away from them. Localbitcoins is far cool than them.

I will Keep you posted, will update you guys on latest feedback from them.  Thanks

Have you experienced this before? Please drop your feedback on the scam site called www.Paxful.com.

Reading many complain about them this days, and am sure they are going down soon, very soon

You banned someone for selling gift card, not for scamming and you are telling the person won't be able to withdraw his fund for 12 good months, that means you are also a scammer promoting scammers

How can the paxful admin know that a gift card is purchased "only by you" and not someone else?
This can`t be proved.
When they suspend accounts for violating their Terms of service, they should refund all the bitcoins to the account owner. Some of the bitcoins might be from normal trades.
I`ve seen many mixed reviews about paxful. Some people love this platform, some people hate it.
I had an account there and deleted it,because it was confusing to talk with their customer support about their fees.

That's disappointing - even if they suspect you broke the rules they should not confiscate your funds. They can kick you off their site but they need to return your BTC.

Paxful, LocalBitcoin and any similar website have bad reputation concerning their bad customer service, full of scammer and unfair/suspicious rate. However, you should move this thread to Scam Accusations (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0) and use Scam Report Format (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=260073.0)

I think you won't get your bitcoin back and they will ignore you completely soon unless you make this problem become popular.

THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT AM DOING NOW, I WONT REST. WILL MAKE SURE EVERYONE KNOW ABOUT THIS, THEY ARE CONFIRM THEIF

THEY ARE CHARGING 0.008BTC PER EACH TRACSACTION AND TO REPLY PEOPLE MAILS IS A DIFFICULT TASK FOR THEM

I've used both Localbitcoins (The older, more trustworthy and competent version) and Paxful, The outcome is 8/8 on disputes on LBC and 3/5, I always the clearly favorites side, but was new in Paxful against an older trader (That went scamming people), I have to say I'm shocked on the random way Paxful solves disputes at - waiting days for a reply of the other party and not 30 minutes for my reply-..

Ever since that article that paxful's CEO with his pals went on a rampage in Miami, faced charges of cocaine and hashish possession.
I don't trust any cryptocurrency trading platform which is owned by people who like to get high, party naked, and run around with guns.

I was thinking of using paxful because of a recommendation made by a friend of mine and this now changed my mind so for now I will watch your thread and see what happens before starting to use it. Like what you experienced, I have experienced being scammed and my money being taken away and that's why I don't trust big funds to sites like paxful and even if I did put some money, I always make sure that it stays below 10$ this is my tip to you OP, so that even if you loss some its not that big.

Thank you for the information as regard paxful scams, I recently registered with them with the intention of transfering my bitcoin from blockchain due to recent delays in transaction, I tried to login to my paxful account last week I was told that my account had been locked due to ungenuine reasons I was happy that I have no bitcoin in their wallet imagine that is how I would have lost those bitcoin, OP thank you for your report.

Actually haven't heard of this story before. What I don't understand about some of these sites going scam is that some of them are legitimate businesses and can operate well and make good money without scamming - but that extra greed is what goes over the top. It sucks but it happens.

Ever since that article that paxful's CEO with his pals went on a rampage in Miami, faced charges of cocaine and hashish possession.
I don't trust any cryptocurrency trading platform which is owned by people who like to get high, party naked, and run around with guns.

THAT IS WHAT AM FIGHTING FOR NOW, THEY WILL LOCK AND STEAL YOUR COINS TO THEIR OWN, WITHOUT TANGIBLE REASON

YOU ARE WELCOME BRO

You broke the rules and they got you, end of story.  I like the fact that you posted everything you did so that you cannot turn around later and claim that you were in the right.  You were wrong, you broke their rule and it costs you money, that is the way of the world and that is a perfect thing.

Edit: By analysis again, i suspect Paxful.com is a scam site.

They are stealing people coins. Stay away please

Perhaps, rather than blaming other people for your issue, you could take responsibility and make a thread about how you committed fraud and begging got you nowhere

One thing is certain that the OP lost his coins because they banned his account when he deposited bitcoin in it,i have seen many gambling sites and web wallets confiscating the coins claiming that they have violated their terms and conditions and most probably you have violated theirs, but that does not mean that they can withhold their coins, they can ban the user and they have the rights to do that for violating their terms but they must release the coins, they do not have the rights to hold others funds in the name of terms and conditions.

PS: @ OP please do not use caps all the time.

Im going through nightmare with them as well. I had old cell phone number on my profile.  I decided i needed extra security so i enabled 2FA.  When i tried to change my phonr number it said it would email me link to change number.  Well email never came, and im unable to login to my account.   Everything is invested in my paxful wallet.  I have 2 kids and we have been broke since sunday.  I spend every minute for 4 days trying to contact them.  Ive got zero email replies.  Twice ive had "live" support reply , and instantly they are gone for another couple hours.    I answered all security questions validating ownership of mu account.   They assured me "admin" would contact me and remove 2FA.   IVE HEARD NOTHING! !!! Ive been on every social media site.   Ive been on forum that is highly monitored.  Ive posted thread here.   Its a unreal sitation.   I know they hear me, but wont even reply.   Does anyone have any advice? ??  Pleaae help

I'm not sure if Paxul itself is a scam organization or not but I can say for sure that this website is a heaven for all kinds of scammers. I deposited around 0.8 bitcoins there and tried to sell them via Paypal (I know, it's stupid) and within just a couple of hours, I was approached by several scammers... I consider myself lucky that I managed to walk away without being scammed, the admins always decided the dispute in my favor despite the scammers trying their best to convince them. In any case, I decided to move out of Paxful and take my business elsewhere, it's too much of a headache and waste of time trying to buy/sell bitcoins there, even if the dispute system is functional it takes several hours to 48 hours to resolve one and coins are locked for that duration. I wouldn't recommend Paxful to anyone unless it's the last or only option available for you.

I have always wondered why Paxful don't require ID verification before allowing someone to buy/sell bitcoins. I have noticed several times that a single scammer is using many Paxful accounts to scam people. There are listings on the Paxful website which are too good to be true (Ex: Sell 1BTC for $9000), in my opinion these sounds like open scams to me and I'm sure that Paxful is fully aware of that too. So why are they allowing such scam listings on their website? I have often questioned myself, are they a part of the scam if not then why are they allowing open scams listings? Once it even came to my mind that Paxful themselves might be creating those scam listings waiting to catch some fish.

if you check some of their trader on gift card, anne, she is working with paxful. they can never ban her, because they are getting 0.008btc from those scammers.

if you call the vendor scammer, what do you call paxful itself pls? they will cast soon, its a matter of time
