Had your had funds tied up in a traditional ForEx broker, the chances are your money would be stuck in limbo indefinitely with little or no recourse available to you. The very fact you could move your Bitcoins to a completely separate exchange and liquidate them to fiat with comparative ease is quite cool.

Simple. So basically any EU customer of MTGox is screwed.... What about an international wire transfer? I had withdrawls pending for eternity. Asked marcus to cancel, which he did with apologies, I rebought BTC (for a profit no less!) and transfered out to Bitstamp. SEPA payment next day. I've also sold a couple on Localbitcoins as well. It's nice. |
