Title: Poloniex Issues may have Been Foreseen by Exchange Staff As Far Back as May
Post by: toodamntired on June 27, 2017, 10:38:46 PM
May 2017 Posting on Poloniex Hints Towards Difficulties

Read the full news Story.... Could be nothing, but looks eerily suspicious to me....

And kind of familiar... in that not so welcomed kind of way....

I've read the "article". It's pure FUD. Literally EVERY exchange had the same problems around that time. And they still do. Also, how is being registered in Delaware suspicious? The article itself says that 60% of ALL fortune 500 companies are incorporated in Delaware. So 60% of fortune 500 companies are scams? Total BS, they are incorporated there because it's cheaper for them. If you buy groceries from a supermarket that has the exact same products as another supermarket but is 10% cheaper, that's not shady, that's smart. Ugh, why am i even replying? *Shakes head*

Yes, maybe more than 70% of fortune 500 companies are registered in Delaware but you can visit them in person (see Facebook, Yelp, Apple, Coca-Cola). Do you compare these companies with Poloniex?  ;D

Delaware incorporation means that Poloniex MUST be registered as MSB and they are not.
Conclusion : Poloniex is running an unlicensed money transmission business

So essentially, are they able to solve the current issues or will they just ignore it?
Why are they not frank or take action to save their users by closing the site and then paying all their user balances?
Maybe that way their good name will be awake so as not to lose many customers.
This is a serious issue in the user's experience but I do not know if poloniex considers this issue seriously or just assume this issue is casual because I do not see them discussing this issue on their twitter, they are just tweet about stellar giveaway. lol

most ironic, and at the same time funniest part is that I cannot argue with anything you said, especially since I am the writer of the article.... the suspicious part, as the article clearly states (too many times really, but i wanted to drive it home...), The suspicion and shadiness come from the lack of communication on the part of Poloniex.
If you throw in the delaware corporation, it is not that it is cheaper to form there, t is the lax laws regarding taxes, and in the Poloniex case, the fact that there is no contact info listed for the site owners.

of course, we know who the CEO is, but it does make it awfully convenient to have it set-up he way it is IF, and i cannot emphasize the IF here, IF it is some type of exit scam... Which i do not believe for one minute. The post they made to their site on may 16th caught my attention and and i was like, "WTF?" and i wrote it.

I am editing the article in a moment to challenge them to do the right thing and communicate with their users and the rest of the bitcoin world.... hopefully a lot of you will share the link, not for my ego or for the website it posted on to garner traffic, but simply for the Bitcoin community itself, so that we can try and prevent any more of the crap that has given bitcoin a bad rep in the past.

If we don't stand together, then there is no point i standing at all and it will only be a matter of time before the next scam artist comes along and says, "Hey, i will just rob Bitcoin users, they never do shit about it anyways." So give me 5 minutes from the time of this post and go read the update, share the link and gt peple to comment on it.. i can see the views in the backend, but no one else can. let othjers know this is important. A stand neds to be made against Bitcoin Company's doing as they please and not being held accountable.

Poloniex is at their worst time ever , I wouldn't be surprised with any outcome in the future
me personally they locked my account on May 1st and they said that I can request a one time withdrawal , been waiting the withdawal for over 40 days now and their support isn't responding to my ticket
when you check your twitter you can see how there are many members reporting the same issue
so be prepared for whatever outcome , cause poloniex is making it shady

here is my story with them btw

The message was posted at the highest of the crypto bubble (the biggest bubble so far, by a long shot). We're still in that bubble even if it has reduced a bit.

Poloniex has still a lot of volume, so there is still a lot of activity, and probably a lot of tickets for their staff to solve.
