Hey, I decided to move from polo to bittrex
Do I need to verified my bittrex account if i trade with only 500 dollars.

Basic accounts require users to submit their name, address, and birth date.
Basic accounts can withdrawal up to 3 BTC worth of digital currency equivalent per day if they have two-factor enabled.

who knows you will get huge profit in the future
so you can withdraw big amount of it in one time

I agree with both comments above, you can withdraw up to 3 BTC per day with basic verification (no ID) and 2FA, but its better to apply for your verification now so if you make it big you can withdraw a larger amount (up to 100 BTC per day).

this simply answer the question but what others concerned is what if things happen and you might be got lucky holding a alts that will bring you x100
you will be limited for only 3btc so its still better to verify your account for future reference.

Unless you have a legacy account - which allows for 1337 BTC withdrawals per day without any information like name.

The moment that stops will be the moment I'll stop using Bittrex.

you see, polo was used to free to trade and withdraw when your volume below 2000 USD, but now you can't no anything if you are not verified.

so it's better to verified.

on polo still u can trade below 2000 $ without need to virified, but they have issues now.

You don't need to verify account for 500$ trade, but if you want to withdraw more then 3 btc then you have to verify it.

At cryptopia daily withrawal limit is 5000$.

i have been traded in bittrex since 2014.

Keep in mind that entering the data are proceeded into "public registers". And in 90% of the cases, they "don't find the matching info" so you will be requested to enter a valid phone number for phone verification. Then Basic Profile is completed.

This would really be suggested, if you dont really mind up on your personal identity then this would be suggested specially when you do have possible big amounts of profits on doing trading so that later on you wouldnt have problem already when it comes to limitation. If you are just trading on small time then verification wont really be needed at all.

If possible, account verification is good thing. Its done for the good of ourselves, to avoid things arent desirable otherday. In fact, my balance in bittrex isnt greater than you have.

How did you get a legacy account? Can new peeps get one too?

Yes I think you need to verify your bittrex account because as I have discovered lately bittrex lowered down it's daily withdrawal rate and I think you need to verify some things so it will be increased instead of the 0.025 minimum daily withdrawal.

Stop with the fake information.You either are blind or a blatant signature poster.If you read the above thread,you could see OP already posted that they managed to create a legacy account without having to submit any document verification,0.025 withdrawal limit is a lie,more like a joke.You don't have to fake the data if you can't find anything else to post for.

Must have been introduced in the past 2 months.

So now I have to update myself to Basic-Account what I actually don´t like. Not thinking about bad things, but I don´t want all juristications to get me movements to/from Bittrex if they want to have it...

The 0.025 btc withdrawal limit is correct for new users who are not verified.

Why people do say such thing? As i have backread they say that this thing is true but based on my own experience this is just really a lie and a fake information same as you said. Basic accounts do really have much more than amounts regarding to its limit which isnt really small at all. 0.025 is just crazy to say and why do other people do experience this one.

Yes since the new update of Bittrex you would need to verify your account so you could withdraw more than 0.025BTC, I just saw my Bitrrex account and failed to verify them so my daily withdrawal will only be 0.025BTC.  :(

I am not a blatant signature poster and I'm not spreading fake information so don't judge me just because my Bittrex account has that withdrawal limit. I'm sorry for being ignorant but that's not an excuse for you to judge me. I have a "legacy" Bittrex account (created when the exchange was brand new) and my account is completely disabled until I do verification. No deposit, withdrawal, or trading of any sort.

Kind of annoying because I'm a long term stable customer for many years. Why would I suddenly be a problem now? Verification makes no sense if all I'm doing is trading cryptocurrency. I don't need or want FIAT or any sort.

I don't have a problem with verification per se but I do have a problem handing out personal information to just anybody. If the exchange gets hacked (and they ALL get hacked at some point) then the hackers might have access to very detailed personal information of the users. That's just no good.

I also have a legacy account, it's empty and I haven't used it for a while but was recently thinking of doing so, now I'm not so sure.

At which point did you discover your account was disabled, when attempting a deposit, withdrawal or trade?

It was when I went to generate a deposit address for a coin. It fails with a pop-up saying account disabled. I contacted support and they said they would not enable my account until I did the verification.

I wonder if new accounts also have to do verification if they're only trading cryptocurrency.

It would seem that they do, at least when it comes to withdrawal.

Hey guys im thinking about creating a bittrex account.  So if i do not have a verified account, how many bitcoin or altcoins can i send to my account to switch for bitcoin or another altcoin like ETH?  I assume back then you could do up to 3btc in trades per day whether btc to ETH or vice versa?  But now its max 0.025 btc?  Can someone confirm this is what is meant by it?

None if your account was set up after 1st August 2017. They want all new users to be verified and won't allow withdrawals if you are not.

I suggest you go instead to HitBTC - they don't require verification as long as you don't trade fiat and are trading cryptocurrencies only.

hi there.  Are the rates pretty good at Hitbtc?  Okay so if you are trading crytocurrencies there, you do need to create an account right?  And if you do, i assume you need an email?  Do you also need to put your real name or is that not required?


Im also curious but say you trade bitcoin for waves or ETH.  I use shapeshift to do these trades and i noticed i lost a lot of money doing this.  Like it cost me 250 dollars to trade a total of 5k worth of btc with another coin etc.  So i assume hitbtc gives a much better rate similar to bittrex?


What do you mean they won't allow withdraws?  You mean trading crytopcurrency to crytocurrency or withdrawing to bank account etc?

If you will continue to need bittrex or still interesting in cryptocurrency, my suggestion of course you need to do verification. Therefore for your kindness and comfort in doing the transaction.

Depends on whom you fear most: the gubment finding out you keep some savings in crypto (Bittrex theoretically) or an anonymous shell which claims to be EU based but nobody really knows (HITbtc)

Increasing mainstream adoption and a growing market cap mean that these exchanges will have to comply with financial rules or be shut down. Bittrex is at least making a move towards making itself legit. I understand why people in this topic don't like this but it is the price of adoption.

Increasing mainstream adoption means your bitcoin is now worth 4000$, it also means you can no longer move large amounts of money around the internet with no questions asked. One or the other.

We've all seen what just happened with BTC-E. And trust me it is probably only the beginning.

I personally would choose to just comply with Bittrex' KYC demand rather than moving my coins into an exchange which has less or no regulation compliance and find my coins 'hacked' or confiscated the next day.

Yes, so you can increase your withdrawal limit. You should do it because it is also for you own good. It's going to be stressful just in case you didn't do that and you are cashing out many btc.

Agree with others, it's better to verified your bittrex account for the future. Maybe in the future your assets on bittrex account will have many bitcoins/altcoins to trade and by verified your account will makes your account can withdrawal more your balance but if you only casual trader like me who only trade $100-$500 it's not important to verified.

At Cryptopia, do you have to verify or not for the daily withdrawal of $5k?

Is that the only time the mobile number is needed, just for the initial phone verification where they send you a SMS code? Of do you need to use that mobile phone everytime you make a withdrawal from your Bittrex account?

It is the right choice, because with many problems that arise on polo you better switch on bittrex.

The new policies wouldn't allow you withdraw 0.02 without any level of verification.You need to verify your phone number,address and name to process small withdrawals.If you are a high volume trader,you will need to bypass the advanced verification which includes ID card and other documents.

since around august this year, bittrex requires every new user to complete the basic verification. the account without passing verification is pretty much useless since the withdrawal limit is very low

Nope, the withdrawal limit isn't low, it's zero, nothing, nada.

Without verification you can't withdraw a single penny.

No verification = lost money.

It's only happens if you have created the account on Aug 1 or after that. You can read on their announcement about daily limit

If you ganna used bittrex for more transaction s you better to upgrade it, but if your going to use it for once then its ok not to update it.

A friend I advised to get a Bittrex account did indeed sign up after Aug 1, but wasn't make aware that they wouldn't be able to withdraw anything without verification when they signed up.

Yesterday i had opened account with bittrex, Also i had add some bitcoin in bittrex account, than i try to verify my bittrex account but its fail, After i try to Upgrade Verification but they saying that,

Yes if you don't want any problem withdrawing your bitcoins after you made a huge profit on trading. We all know that support system of exchanges suck so before you encounter those issues, verify you account before you continue trading.

yes your doing good and better because bittrex is the fastest and secure site so you have to invest in to this wallet and keep hold long time finally uo get more out put. present n the market more wallets are their in that few are secure and better those are bittrex, electreum, mycelium, coinbase, blockchain.info and exodus. so in that up  have to choose best one in fact bittrex is secure and like that same more more wallets are available in the markets those are electreum if we have to reveal our private key with others nothing to happens next mycelium in this we have to scan qr code. so both are good wallets once search and choose.

Its very strange, Bittrex had marked solved at my all support tickets, All documents are uploaded, All support tickets are solved, 4 days finish but still my account was not verified..

I don't understand why it happened so. Because, I didn't encounter any problems when verifying account bittrex. Everything went well. There maybe less appropriate data (sorry if i am mistaken).

7 days after i sent them my documents, i realised my name was not spelled correctly on bittrex and on documents its ok.

it went to manual verification, but nothing is happening, 7 days not even a answer on my tickets

im kinda worried did i lost my funds or what :)

If your account verified it will be better.
Why ?
If you had a problem about your account, like lost your password, or you lost your device where to save your bittrex password/auth

Then, the bittrex's support will be more easy to solve your problem.

its up to you but its recommended to get verified and activate the 2fa for the security of your account. Basic account can only withdraw 1 btc per day ,but if you want to increase your withrawal per day just upgrade.

Basic account can not withdraw anything, because you can't get basic verification outside US. My funds are now trapped (possibly forever) on Bittrex.

Basic accounts are allowed to withdraw at max 3 BTC without any verification but just as long as you enable the 2fa. That's what I did and most of the friends I knew who are trading on Bittrex. But I already changed mine recently to verify my Bittrex account even though I don't really need the 100 BTC max withdrawal limit.

This is no longer true. I have 2FA and I can't get basic verification because I am not in United States, don't have US phone number and "my name doesn't match public records". So I can only do enhanced verification which also doesn't work (name mismatch) and then my only option is customer support which basically doesn't reply to tickets. There are 1000s of users waiting for months for a reply with funds frozen. Check comments on their facebook or twitter posts. All flodded with ticket numbers and people begging for Bittrex to answer.

Yes of course you must to verify your account first  to start trading on bittrex.
Every exchange will ask you to make your account to be verified first.

Can someone here tell me what 2FA is allowed on bittrex?  Do they allow your phone number or email?  Or it has to be google auth or authy?  Is there any other choice for 2FA with bittrex?

You like it or not, you need to verify yourself. Basic accounts won't work with them anymore and your account must be enhanced account and that's it. Biitrex account is the best trading platform and so I have nothing against with their new policies if it would mean more security for its users.

Is that right:

3. Ouside of the US You cannot get an enhanced account anyway?

If you are a true trader, verifying your account to enhanced is a must. I think it's not hard to do it, follow the instructions as per the procedure, 10 minutes the account has been verified.

You should be able to withdraw 0.4btc with basic account. With enhanced account limit is 100btc per day.

You know what is funny? I've just read ToS and I couldn't find anywhere that you need to verify account and give personal information if you want to withdraw, or it is well hidden.

If someone new comes to bittrex and read tos he will deposit money and will be very surprised when they don't allow him to withdraw.

Their verifications arn't working at all, either basic or enhanced. Not sure what is going on at that exchange, but it seems very shady indeed.

There's really something going on there so before it gets too late better to shift to other exchanges. It's really annoying how they can make a limit without the knowledge of the owner and with all these verification thing that made our headaches.
Good thing I just store a little amount of coins so I don't need to deal with all of these sh*t.

I have a basic account with them before and it works perfectly being able to withdraw but due to their new policy not allowing withdrawal without verification then there are many traders whose funds were trapped in there and some are unlucky because they use a different name that's why they can't be verified. Luckily for me, I don't have any funds left before they implement that but I am planning to deposit again but will verify first before depositing so that all will go smoothly. The coins that I want to trade are in there and they have high volume as well that's why I decided to go back.

Bittrex has asked people to log into their support accounts if they have multiple support tickets for the same issue to delete all but their original support ticket. If they are trying to f*** people sending them lots of support tickets is not going to bother them and it's not going to help you. If they are processing them by hand like they say all we can do to help is to clear up useless multiple support tickets.

Sure bittrex is a good catch for an exchange because of their high trade volume and have a user friendly interface but since of all these new policies I'm getting too sick in dealing them. I suggest that we should just shift to other exchanges that's not compromise their customers with that kind of action and sure we can find a good one.

OK, just to shed more light, I would like to add my own experience on Bittrex. I only started using since August, when I wanted to get an altcoin I did not have on other exchanges. I signed up first for Basic, since I never have big deposits or withdrawals. After depositing BTC I bought my altcoins.

I started withdrawing several times (after buying alts with BTC) and never faced a single problem as I kept to the limit. Withdrawals were processed in 10 minutes and I got them in my wallet after that.

However, I strongly suggest, if you want to use centralized exchanges, just verify yourself before doing anything. Saves you the trouble later. If you don't ever want to be verified, then don't ever use exchanges like Bittrex. Unfortunately, this has to be the way,

It's appropriate that you need verify. Regardless of your money, it's still a treasure you need to keep. Verification is done for our good as well as in anticipation of unexpected things that might happen to our account in the future.

I am also from Poloniex before then I transferred to bittrex. Of course if you want to use bittrex you need to have an account there then once you have an account they have also a verification about your basic information like what poloniex have in the platform. But it does not very strict compare to poloniex.
