Guyz.... when will I be rich? Tired of being "middle class"  :'( :'( :'(

Siacoin - 1,708,333 SC (10.28 BTC value)

GameCredits - 1031.09 GAME (1.49 BTC value)

Good porfilio, when you will be rich, this is hard question.
 Even if 1BTC becomes 10k $ this maybe won't be enough for you. Buy some Startis, Cloak, Zen, try to trade with them.. Invest in ETC more BTCs, you will probably get few times in return, this way you do not need to wait to become rich, just do it.

BTC is more safe than ETC though... Imo the future of BTC is clear, but ETC not so much. ETC could go nowhere, but BTC is destined for $10K (as long as the community doesnt fuck things up)

I can't tell when you will be rich but for sure you will be one when the time comes so just sell the altcoins you hold now when it pumps hard, and set a target price to sell into. The earliest point of time that you will be reach maybe after next bitcoin halving because we might see yet another bitcoin price rise after it so better trade and multiply your btc portfolio before that time comes. I might be wrong since this is just a guess.

That's why I'm in alts..... only for more BTC

You are pretty good positioned right now... it would be a shame if you lost your bitcoin in the altcoin market. With 21 BTC one should be rich in the next decade, somewhere along the way exponential growth should kick in. Of course the more the better, but probably the more you have the more prone you will be to sell.

I still don't see the point of Siacoin. Isn't it the same as Storj?

I have no idea about Gamecredits.

ETH and ETC both suffer from he same problems as far as I know, they don't scale.

Siacoin is by far the best at what they do. The team is more professional than Storj and Maidsafe and they actually have a working product.

ETH has already hit its peak in therms of scale, ETC has room to grow

Everything is leveled to Bitcoin, it falls also all behind it, now in general all red, one tell time now will be bought, and others that it only the beginning. Therefore here it is necessary to think very well what to buy.

Holy, you have 66 BTC and also more than that in some altcoins. I agreed with people on above if i can say you already rich for now. Did you bought it when it was still cheap? Or you get those BTC from altcoin trading?

I think you are just bragging  :P You are already rich.

I bought most of it, only earned a few trading. I put $40K in BTC over 3 years from 2013-2015


$10M+ net worth... or $5M liquid wealth... that's when you can comfortably retire.

For the purpose of this thread though... you can assume $1M, I'd be pretty happy if my crypto portfolio reaches that.


Not sure if you're serious... $200K is pocket change these days in America. Definitely not enough to retire or consider yourself to be "rich" and I'm definitely not bragging. I want a LOT more than $200K

Your portfolio is nicely distributed. One can get rich easy but wealth its something different.
You must never quit following new trends.

if you want to get rich, take 16 BTC of your wallet, and go for some ALTs.
ARK, WAVES, DGB etc... do your search on the forum and you will find the ones you want to invest in.
Pick 5 max, and put 3.x btc per coin.

Sia alone will make you rich - once it hits 50 cents you're a millionaire.

I don't know if this is troll or no, you can easily live rich & luxury life in most of the countries.
Especially Eastern European countries, Poland, Ukraine, Greece, Turkey, Russia or South America like Brazil, Argentina etc.

It is pretty good money. If you move to another country like philippines, india or most post soviet countries you are rich  ;D
Anyway a nice portfolio. You are lucky you could buy cheap bitcoins before.
I prefer more altcoins less bitcoin for my investments. I gained most of my portfolio with altcoin trading not buying and keeping btc. Because i was late for buying bitcoins.

Not in turkey or russia. I lived in both of them and 200k usd is definetely not enough to live a luxury life.
You can only buy a moderate flat with 200k usd in cities like moscow - sankt petersburg - istanbul - izmir. And you would have to find a good job to keep living in these flats.

Maybe... I was thinking about ANS, WAVES and XVG... DBG is a P&D coin. Not sure what ARK is. But I think I have enough alts... I'm not comfortable with alts, only with BTC. So I don't know if I wanna risk losing more BTC. BTC is most likely going to make my portfolio value grow... alts will depend on luck.


I wish man. But 50cent Sia is $14billion market cap.... there is no way in hell it's going to $14B anytime soon.

I made x5 on Alts (mostly on ETH and WAVES) in BTC and x3 on BTC (bought late a $700). Total of x15, and most of my gain is on alts.
I manage my ptf in BTC value, knowing hoping that the BTC should rise.

Frankly, imho you have a lot of exposure on the BTC. maybe too much.
You would have put 10 BTC in ETH a months ago, you would have something around 50 today.

with 16BTC, you can have a sound strategy of putting 10BTC in "stable" alts (top 10 market cap on coinmarketcap, LTC and co...), 3BTC on smaller caps (still in the top20), and 3BTC to play and take some risks (ICOs, low MK...)

It's up to you man. YOU DECIDE :-)

You are already rich. What else do you want. You keep loots of digital dreams. If you can afford all this you are not just rich but really really rich.

Maybe I'll consider divesting 10 more BTC in other alts... but BTC is where it's at.... when BTC moons (and it WILL) I will hate myself for not holding more BTC. Alts might get crushed when BTC moons so that's risky too.


And lol... I wish I lived in Silicon Valley... I would be dirt poor in Silicon Valley. $200k would be gone on rent alone in 2-3 years.

Nice portfolio, but indeed too much BTC, if it was mine:

Keep 50-60% BTC

If you are not confortable with alts, no problem just trade them in this manner:

buy when they are on the low, after a crash ( you missed a perfect opportunity last days)

and then sell them when they are up 10-20%

I will rise fast you see.

Until they don't rise again....

They will stop to rise IF/WHEN Bitcoin is in trouble (ex in 2015 after MTGOX), until then, manipulation, FUD will create some crash.

Of course I can be wrong, but hey you have a nice amount now, you want more, you need to risk it(balls).

Middle class? Bro, not sure if you are stealth bragging or trolling, but if you have 200.000$ to invest in a cryptocurrency, you don't fall in the category of "middle class".

However, lets assume you are serious. I think in 5-10 years you will have at least *10, even if you don't do anything anymore and just hold.

You don't need 10M or 5M to comfortably retire. You can practically retire when you can live on your investments. A rule of thumb is when your costs of living amounts to 4% of your savings (given the expected growth of the stock market) then you can retire. For me that is far below $5M.

What's more than that required to be rich. Based on the quote from Op I believe what he holds right now is more than enough. By the years to come based on expertise prediction it's found that even a single coin could go as high as $5000000. So it's very simple to be rich.

i'd consider myself lucky to have a Portfolio as you have right now.

If you want to get " rich " faster, you should distribute in more alt coins.

For example:

Take 16 BTC

1-3 BTC for upcoming ICOs

and evenly split the rest into -> Stratis, Waves, Aragon, Status, ARK, VIA, XVG

My Advice: don't blindly believe me, research the project yourself and if you are convinced buy them.

After all, crypto trading is 80% Emotions :P

Actually Storj has had a live product far longer than Sia and also has been around far longer than Sia.
Why would you say Storj is not professional?, please support your statement with facts.

I am pretty much serious. Average monthly salary in my country is 600$. With $200K average person will be rich.

Bitcoin and EthereumClassic are the 2 best coins to hold for max long term gains. Those along with maybe Monero and Cloak.

why ETC, and why CLOAK?

CLOAK because it has the best anonymity with their ENIGMA system. ETC because commitment to mutability and with bitcoinesque fundamentals and monetary policy with strong community and extremely talented and active devs (I know this always gets said but it's true).

With 200k he can have an amazing live in Germany...Especialy if he could get social payment for flat. :)
He can buy greek citizenship than go to some easy work in germany forand 1 year and after that get free flat for alltime long and 200k will be enough money to be happy.

Well i think you already rich. Because 66 btc is enough to be rich . If i have 66 btc, i consider my self as one of the rich people ,it can give you a business for a life time, so you dont need to worry about your future.

I think this question is very pointless.

If you have such amount invested in something you wouldn't be asking this question unless you just want to show off.

Also if you have such amount invested than you should know why you have invested in it and what return to expect. Of course it could be hard to predict the future price of each coin but everyone knows the numbers will just go up. Check the charts it will give you better understanding

So as you can see from my original post... I had 15 BTC invested in alt coins.... I haven't touched it since and now it's worth around 6 or less.... I don't even wanna look at the balance  :'(


I TOLD YOU GUYS I WASN'T RICH... you can never know with crypto... you look like you're about to be well off one day and the next day you are worth half as much.

For people telling me "why not invest more of your BTC in alt coins"? THIS IS WHY I DON'T PUT MUCH IN ALT COINS.... Alt coins come and go, there is no certainty with alts... but BTC is here to stay. Even when BTC dips I can be assured that BTC will prevail. Whether my Sia, ETC, LSK, and GAME will recover is up in the air... I really have no idea. SC still has good tech behind it and solid devs/community and they recently got funding... even so, the market likes to play games with alt coins.

I'm not selling at a significant loss. I will hold until the end. But right now I'm sad... I knew I had too much in alt coins. Lesson: NEVER GIVE UP YOUR BITCOINS

66 btc and you are still poor and your other investments are not too good to be rich in a small time , siacoin just fell , gamecredits not so famous till now what you should do is play with those 66 btc now , simply storing btc isn't worth go buy 5 btc worth of lisk and maybe buy a few litecoin it will be pumped more in the coming years

Rich has several determining Factors.

1) Where do you live
2) What do you consider as "Rich"

For example if you want to buy a place in central London, New york etc then your going to need millions in Fiat money, probably 600+ Bitcoins (Or a 10x rise in the current value of your portfolio) to get anywhere decent. If you want to buy a place in a cheaper area of the world, you may well already be considered rich if you move your coins to fiat.

Also Consider the Tax implications of converting back into Fiat - I know where I live its considered capital gains tax, which can be a hefty bill if you try taking out a million dollars for example, you may be stung for a 30-40% tax bill. I should really know more about this being a Chart Acc but ive never had anyone come to me yet with this issue  :D

Well that is 10 million Philippine pesos where I came from. You can buy your own lot at some suburb for a million or two. Put up a house much cheaper, then you can have internet and then do more Crypto trading. Set up a small grocery and you still have a few million to spare. Might as well go here mate.

Your portfolio seems to be good with a lot of siacoins and lisk.
