Yeah you can say I was pretty late and almost missed the boat. LOL. Started mining YAC about 3 hours agon on 2 computer, 1 with a i7 2600k and other with a i3 2120 and 1 laptop with a intel pentium dual core proccesor t4400. Funny thing was that my i7 have found 31 blocks with only 2 actually credited, i3 found 4 blocks with 1 credited and my pentium found 1 block which got credited too. I actually found a block with a 2.2ghz pentium dual core  :D

I've only got one i5 mining and I'm now 3 orphans and 2!! blocks (117) coins. Best part is I'm also doing 900kh/s on the gpus (for ltc) and browsing the web on this one computer at the same time.

I'm mining it too.
It's actually a pretty good stress test for my i7 3930k @3.8GHz - I get temps similar to the Prime95 benchmark.

Regarding mining: my experience was that it takes quite a lot of time till they are credited, so it might be worth waiting a bit to see if you get some.

Does anybody know how to display the current local hashrate?
And also, what is the networks total hashrate? It seems to get really difficult to min in the last hour!

Currently CPU mining only, low difficulty level.

Yeah but that could only mean you have to mine way more to have a good worthwhile chuck of YAC

Wow, I got one too, in the first hour no less, not expecting that. 2 threads on an old AMD Phenom X3 720. 1 orphan too.

I had a go... Started about 1hr after announced, with 4Ghz 8 core 8350 on win7.
The first 30 minutes was wasted as I encrypted the wallet, which prevented mining.
After five hours with 8 cpus @ 100%  I had 15 orphans & 0 accepted.

gave up on YAC already - 6 hours mining on a 2500k and an i5 2410 and nothing except 2 orphans.  Bad luck and not being able to control the firewall on one of them turned me off.

Nice altcoin, though kind of not newbie friendly. Takes a bit of tweaking to get it running properly:

This after 24 hours of mining with 4 machines at ~500kh/s (various p4-i7):

Code:
$ ./yacoind listtransactions "" 200 | egrep '(immature|generate|orphan)"'

YAC's are the only CPU only alt coin - you can mine them while you mine other coins.

It's a bit difficult to solo mine YAC these days.
Come mine at my pool.

url: bitvolcano.com:8338
user: youryacaddress
pass: x

It's a PPLNS P2Pool so your mined coin will go straight to you wallet just like solo mining but in smaller chunks.
You can check out our stats at http://stats.bitvolcano.com

If you need any help ask here or PM.
