Title: Speed on mining Scrypt coins Post by: mussrya on June 29, 2017, 12:42:44 PM Hi all, when mining Scrypt coins (Mooncoin etc.) using sgminer I seem to be getting speeds which to me seem quite low but I am not sure if it's about right given my setup. I generally get about 4.5 MH/s for a 6x MSI 580 GPU rig, is this to be expected?
What I am quite confused about is, if this is an expected speed, then why are so many people mining it when they could mine ETC/ETH, sell them immediately and buy a lot more Scrypt coins than they could if they were to mine them directly?
