Perhaps it is worth 1 BTC, but even that is not clear, with the ASICs raising difficulty. Peace of mind that the seller is not out to scam you - priceless. I was considering buying several fpgas, but with the lack of response from BFL to my requests to upgrade fpgas, it's almost as if BFL is trying to put up every possible roadblock to prevent anyone from upgrading at this point. A few months ago, fpgas could be had on this forum for simply the trade-in cost. Months ago I guess it'd make sense since you could mine a bit before getting the ASIC. But with diff over 10mill you are lucky if you are getting .03btc/day right now and that will most certainly go down AT LEAST 10% every diff recalc.
