Title: Deleting own posts not working?
Post by: andes on June 20, 2011, 08:20:21 AM
Hi, I got confused because a couple of days ago there were 3 buttons to alter own posts : delete, quote, edit. Now there are only two.

Due to the change in order of the buttons, now sometimes I press quote instead of edit by mistake, and I get a new unintended post that I cannot delete.

Is there any reason for deactivating the delete option?

Just hit the back button on your browser and it will take you away from the quoted post without making a new one.

I am glad they removed the "delete" button since it was completely useless anyways!

I removed it (maybe temporarily) because I believe many forum accounts will be compromised due to the MtGox leak, and I don't want thousands of posts to disappear.

Feel free to report your posts if you need them deleted for some reason. (Previously SMF would not allow you to do this, but I fixed it.)
