Title: Need help on 3rd GPU using non-modular PSU
Post by: pzycho010 on June 30, 2017, 07:29:02 PM
I'm using a non-modular psu, cougar 750w gold. Problem is there are only 2 sets of 6 and 6+2 power connector available and both are already used in my Nitro+ rx570 4gb cards.
I have 1 more Asus GTX 1070 Dual OC 4GB that needs 1x 8pin power connector to work. Since both of my 8 pins are already used and I was only left with Molexs and SATA power connectors.

What would be my option/s to make this 3rd card work? Do I need to buy a separate PSU?

If I understand, you have a total of three cards and four PCI-E connectors on the PSU. Two 6-pin and two 6+2 PCI-E connectors . In that case I would use one 6+2 connector for the 1070 and an 8-pin splitter cable for the other 6+2 cable to power the two RX 570 card VGA power. If you are using 6-pin risers, you can use one 6-pin cable to power the 1070 riser and a 6-pin splitter cable to power the two RX 570 risers.
