Title: Anyone analyzed EOS first trades vs ico price?
Post by: Alttrader203 on July 01, 2017, 05:58:02 PM
I am against eos, but this thread is nit for that.

Just curious to total eth in ico, price per eos in eth vs current trading price?

I somehow cannot find the ico total of first day.

Sorry to bump my thread, but best info i found is:
650,000 eth donated in first period for 200,000,000 eos
That is 0,00325 eos per eth
And it is trading for that on bitfinex as we speak?

So no gains for participants?

Is this correct? Or am i using wonrg numbers/ doing something wrong?

There is  + of EoS

1.No gas price for dapps
2.Scalability (EOS promise about millions transaction per second)

There is -

1.No daps developers
2. Ethereum developing and working hard about Scalability.

The only question is ..
Will EoS will have as much dev in community as ETH have.

Time is important. Will EOS have enough time before Ethereum will take all dapps market.

I think EOS have chance.

That is off-topic.
I am purely asking about the financials.

I think your math is correct.   And people that bought in in the first period almost certainly won't make any money for a long time because of the if I set up.  If I wanted to make money,  I would wait until there is one of the periods has very few contributions, then I would get far more eos per eth.

People who participated in Period 0 contribution are nearly sitting at x3 of their investmet.

And the new windows for EOS are bumping up the price to match what is being sold on the open markets. I certainly didn't expect it to be so expensive otherwise I would have put more into the first window. FOMO and price speculation is driving this to the moon too fast for something that is not going to be released for 340 days. Let's see where ETH is later this year with POS and sharding
