Just curious how many people posses the skills to build their own rigs..?

i can't imagine its any different than building any other machine, aside from the extra heat. so get some cool toys like pcie risers.

I'm trained, but I'm pretty sure most people can do it without much trouble.

Been building rigs since apple ][ days.

Its modular and pretty straightforward.

The hard part is figuring out why it doesn't work if it doesn't start right up.
(Finding the point of failure becomes detective work)

Building small PC-based rigs for up to 4 GPU's is probably pretty easy for the average PC builder or gamer.  Rigs larger than 4 GPU's start getting a bit more complicated for newbies to mining perhaps.  I'm running a farm of numerous rigs each with 6x 6950's.  Learning curve is a bit interesting, as this involves lots of PCIe risers (modified for +12VDC power), building mounting frames with forced air cooling (large industrial blowers cooing multiple rigs), and brewing large 12VDC power supplies made out of certain industrial power supplies.
