Hi guys!
Wagering tournaments is something that I found that divides gamblers the most. Some of us hate them, some of us love them. What do you think about them? Do you consider them like a waste of money and nearly a fraud because you have to spend too much to have the chance chance to win? Do you like more alternatives like Oshi.io's win ration based tournaments? Or others kind? Or do you like them because they are easy to understand and you can influence your chances by betting more?

before open competition wagering tournaments you need popular youre gambling site
without popular and trust youre gambling site, i think very dificult can get much participant

i think i am not take place in the wagering tournaments because for me, its too crowded and i think i can not handled my emotional when i see there are too many people place their bets in the same time. i'd rather to place in other site and waiting until the game is end. beside that, i am too afraid if i am getting loss too much.

The tournament itself would help them make their casino more popular.

I also hate these kind of tournaments as they're like pay more to increase your chances of winning. I prefer tournaments where people start with a same amount of bankroll and whoever gets the highest profit/multipliers have a good chance of winnning.

Intend to win on any wagering tournaments will require more money. And the worse part is, we can lose more than the prize we can get. Wagering competition's main reason is to give rewards for active gamblers who plays regularly and with relatively big amount of money.

I don't hate them, it's just i don't like them. I am small player so i have 0% possibility to win in wagering tournament.

Yes, but to be honest i have never played at your casino although i signed up.
I think it's because they are tournaments based on luck - more luck you have - higher your win ratio will be - and logically higher the chance to win tournament.
In wagering tournament only thing you need is very big bankroll so you can wager a lot.

Wagering tournaments is a very good way to attract players to play at the site since there is always a chance to win some great bonus prizes at the end of the contest, many gambling sites especially dice sites have been actively promoting their sites via wagering tournaments and I have seen much more big whales playing on those sites rather than the sites that does not offers wagering tournaments.

That's true, tournaments aren't very rewarding for players, but look at it from the casino's side. It doesn't cost much, usually attracts enough people to pay for itself, may or may not attract new players, but since it's almost free it's worth the risk. The site that organizes it looks more active, there's always something going on and something to put on banners and in the advertising thread.

I usually don't enter unless it's a very small site that I trust, or if there are many places that have a prize. I don't gamble with a lot of BTC, so I almost 100% of the time will lose to a whale as they have bigger pockets than I do, so I spend time risking Bitcoin for nothing (or profit, if I'm lucky, but it usually doesn't happen when you try to wager a lot).


I think some of YoloDice's wagering competitions ended up +EV since there aren't many whales on the site, and some decent sized prizes were offered.

But in general - do you think that shorter tournaments that take place more often are better than the longer ones? What about some really short tournaments?
Also, which is better? Having an entering fee and starting with the same amount and then casual wagering or just win-ration based betting where you are free to bet any amount but you only get points based on your winration? eg. you get more points for betting 1mBTC and winning 10mBTC than for betting 500mBTC and winning 2000mBTC.?

I don't really take place in wagering contest because I never bet too big in gambling, for me gambling is just for entertainment purposes, and I think if you are a big whale then the competition is good, you can get extra money by betting

And I think having a short tournament is better because the longer the tournament the bigger the gap will be and it will make the tournament not interesting if the gap is too big, having entering fee is not a good idea for me, getting point by betting amount and the winning percentage sees like an interesting idea

It's not that others or me hate them or something. It's just that I found it not comfortable for this kind of tournaments. First, I need to beat them all which has low chance since there are big whales around. Second, how can I know the legitimacy of the contest since it's easy to setup an account for the owner and joined the tournament. Third and last, I really don't like to spend bunch of money for this kind of tournament.


To answer this, I maybe biased but it's better to put the waiger tournament for short time but not that short. Maybe to span of a week and over etc.

About the option, I can't say it generally since the choices you have given might be better or not to gamblers as they have different perspectives. To test it, make a first tournament and see how it goes. List all "must be" and "should be" so that the revamp on second tournment will gonna be smooth.

No because these kind of tournament usually come with a very long list of small prints.  Like having TOS with 20 points only for the tournament and then in the end - and how read our main TOS. This kind of reading it is killing all of my joy just to gamble for a while.

Nope, these tournaments are the very example of asking only for whales and not for regular players and unlike raffles and deposit bonuses, Tournaments offer absolutely nothing for the regular player and the masses and rewarding 1-2 whales with bankroll much higher than the average bitcoin gambler.

yes i have been a part of this kind of tournament several months ago but indeed to get profit it's very difficult and if you aren't lucky the prize of this tournament will more lower rather than your capital of amount but i don't really liked wagering tournament and i personally more prefer other kind such as poker tournament

What about win-ration tournaments?

No, you might been dejected by some site because usually when we are talking of dice sites the wagering contests have no "if's and donts " attached with them. I have myself played a lot of contests and despite not winning anything significant, I can proudly say the contest were fair and very promising.

I agree with you about Dice contests. I also participated in few and it was easy and fun. But i believe OshiHugo is talking about casino yournaments like blackjack, slots, etc. And most of these slots are not even provably fair.

The one who can wager so much will not care about small amount all those wagering tournaments have so I think it is just waste of money for other small to medium level players.

I see you are basically promoting your site, but that's fine since you have a genuine question too. I usually don't take part in wagering contest because there are lot's of people participating and when you focus on just wagering more and more you actually bet on 98 or 99% win chance and hence you loose your money like nothing since the winning gives dust but the loss takes a big chunk out.

I think win-ration tournament is good and different than a typical tournament, but again those with bigger bankroll will have more chance at winning, don't you think so? 100 mBTC vs 1000 mBTC who'll have more chance at winning?

well in order to win in a wagering tournaments you need a lots of money but in order to have that you need to take a risk and be ready of loosing a lots of money. im not into wagering tournaments i once been in a wagering tournaments where i put my bets on my highest potential but i loss . in order to have or win a large prizes you need to bet a high amount of money.

that's right,of course someone with 1000 mBTC will have more chance to win the wagering tornament,and that something that make me not following and participate on wagering tournament,i can't bet with big amount and hoping one best luck,i prefer to pick some dice game with smaller bankroll but have more chance to win.

I too before participating in contests usually check the status of the site because there is nothing that stops the site from wagering with their own accounts and giving them the prize.
I mean if they loose or win it coming to the gambling site only, and hence they can always scam us in that way.

i think back again who is the lucky person here because in my personal experience i had several times enrolling wagering tournament but i had different results and the first one with only bankroll 0.02 btc but the results was pretty good that i got total prize 0.04 btc plus my winning bets 0.04 btc so on the first try i could makes 0.1 btc from my 0.02 btc but the second one is very different that i got busted several times from my bets and spend 0.06 btc but i got nothing so i just wanna tell you that it all still depends the lucky of us and huge bankroll would not guarantee will win the tournament

I won before in wagering contest I deposit 0.01 in the website but after a day I got busted but still I'm qualified for the 2nd place of the tournament with the prize of 0.03 btc. But first I make sure that website is reliable to depo and withdraw

For me it would just be impossible to win it on the site I play (Crypto-Games), I don't wager nearly enough to even get into the top 5 spots.
I don't mind that they have a wagering competition though, there are other ways to get some extra winnings.

Can you tell me in what site you won that 0.04 and how much you have wagered with that 0.02btc bankroll. Just curious, if the prizes for the tournament are great then there must be many whales participating on the tournament and your winning chance with 0.02 bankroll is almost close to zero unless you won big amount first and you spent your big winning to wager more.

i am not wagering tournaments because my best bet is not big amount than any other player and i don't take place in tournaments too. i only playing gambling like usual and don't expecting to win too much. i am feeling jealous with other gamblers because they have place big wager in tournaments so they have big chance to win big money.

I am ok with it since it is a players choice and not compolsury if you want to take apart of the tournament.  Besides, you do not need to  spend a lot of money in order to rank up on that tournament,  since it is the bet that counts and if you are winning, you can rank on that while booking your profit and get the reward on that ranking as a bonus.

yes that is too much important to know and study about the gambling sites before investing money there. because that is right that there are so my bitcoin sites which are totally scam and can  take your money.

In fact, if there is extra money, then you can bet on some player or else where there will not be. The fact is that you can use the bookmaker office as far as I understand. But the fact is that I'm so important person that I can afford to speak out. That is, I have to control myself in this regard.

It depends on the tournament. If it is something like a competition that you will only win if you have the most wagered amount then I don't stand a chance against those whales who gambles at 1btc per bet. They would surely win the tournament but they would not really care about the prize money of the tournament.

I would be glad to try myself in this hypostasis. But I'm not worried about betting and not losing. In fact, if you take into account all sports, then it's hard to choose the most relevant. Therefore, I will be guided by what the users will advise.

It is not only this site but most of the sites wagering requirements are not so easy to meet because those these sites want to make money. But it is just my observation if you look the investor's profit from crypto-games site for last few months or even more. They are always making a profit and that means always gamblers are losing money on that site. So I don't think it is good to wager in this site for winning some money and risking more money.

I just wonder how they can wagered too much. I never hate them and I never like them. They have an own brain to do what they need to do. Or maybe they want to be famous in a gambling sites? we dont know.. ahhm they are possibly rich playing around only for fun.
