Hello there i have invested some of my money in bitcoins and now looking to invest some in other coins as well.
And this is for a bit long term,mayy be about 1-2 years so which altcoins are best for this.
I am planning to invest on ethereum,dash and litecoins.Am i right ? if there is any other good coins,please suggest.

Invest in ANS, STRAT, ETC, DTB, XVG

if you can hold for atleast 1 year.. it will generate good profit

Look at proven developers with great track records who's projects are on target and about to come to fruition around then.

blocknet is another i find very hopeful although this month we'll see how on schedule they are.

interesting new tech that is still good value is also worth a punt

there are a few others but many are already expensive or a real gamble

If you want to invest in the long term your best bet is to invest in those altcoins with the higher market cap, those are not going to give the most profits unlike a new ICO, but the risk those coins are going to disappear overnight are low.

Investing in these coins is the best thing you can do, I am sure these coins can cause you to make good profits in long term.
Invest in that coins and also invest in Monero and Ethereum classic. I think in that way, You will have all major coins.
If you can afford invest in some ICOs and some coins with lower market caps in addition those coins to make profit in short time. There are lots of other coins with high potential. Just do some research and decide wisely.

There are many good choices the main thing is just to avoid any coins that are obvious scams, the cryptomarket in general will be much bigger in 1-2 years.

I think the reason being is that:

1. Footy has Rarity - Only 4 million coins total can exist.

2. Footy is the first Fantasy Sports Crypotocurrency ever made. - Footy is the Bitcoin of Fantasy Sports!

3. Fantasy Sports is a multi-billion dollar industry - with tens of billions of dollars in annual revenue just for Fantasy Football alone!

Coinmarketcap list just under 900 altcoins; of those listed only a  small percentage of altcoins have a cap of less than 4 million total coin.  Every coin on coinmarketcap with a rarity of less than 7 million total coins produced are all worth more than $2.00 USD - with the exception of Dreamcoin (because of YOBIT) and FOOTY CASH (which is currently undergoing a price correction: 5000% increase in the past week alone.)

5. The coin was greatly undervalued because of unawareness of the Footy cryptocurrency and Fantasy Sports as well.  As more and more people become aware of its value the price will continue to rise.

Nem, XRP, Litecoin, ANS, Etherium, Etherium Classic, Waves, Library Credits, 1 or two ICO's you really like and hold em all. If 3 of those pan out you are golden

well its better to do some research if you are looking for a long term hold better to find those quality projects that have a useful plan for their coins
not just a copy kind of coin but those that have its own uniqueness in terms of plan, as we do have many alts and we just basing it in all forms of
speculations but btc already proved it so another cryptocurrency will find its own achievement.

For me the good altcoins to invest for about 1-2 years are: XRP, STR, DGB, SC, XEM and BCN
because they're just starting to get pumped and they're not on the peak of coins that will pump this year or by next year and they have a good projects to do but for me the best is XRP and XEM i read so many good news about XRP and XEM to be done this year they're just getting ready for a big pump after the dump stage they're going to a big pump soon.

Of course it is waves. İt will be becoming new etherum.

Stay away from them, especially Ethereum. Ethereum has more potential to go down than to go up further. Their network will have worse scalability problems than bitcoin and this will cause a big loss in confidence from ETH investors.

If you plan to hold for as long as 1 or 2 years there are other good cryptocoins that have more potential to ascend. I am slowly buying Aeon from my ETH earnings. The volume is low right now and its development is run like a true open source project so it is not recommended for a newbie to hold a large amount. But price is stable.

Bitcoin is one of the few cryptos we all need to invest because there is a growing market for it

I think the altcoins you already have an interest in are a very good investment option and you on the right track as these are projects that have been around for a long time and still have an active community

Your choices are great. These altcoins have a good platform and supported by the community.
If you will look in the market cap those three are the top. You can add in to your portfolio the ripple, this is also good to invest.

Waves has the potential to become the new Ethereum.

ETH was just ... early.
Then it showed that it could not scale (ICO mania), was depending too much on 1 man (Vitalik), and slowly lost its value.
Today, WAVES emerge as the new "hot" platform, and many successful ICOs (Wagerr for instance) did rely on the Waves platform.

I believe that, in the mid term (1-2y),  Waves can reach the $26B market cap ETH has today.

Good idea for the investment , but investment in the altcoins that have better future will be more better .
Here I will suggest you to buy ETH coin , Dash coin , ripple coin for one years , but don't get fast to buy .
Wait until the price for these coins get down .
because this is a usual thing for such altcoins to get the price down speedily and get up also speedily .
So more better will be when you can invest or buy the altcoin at the perfect time and never get any thinking in the mid that you made any mistake to buy at very high price .
Well if you will get better experience of making money then I don't think that you will make long term trading investment , because you will try to make profit in one day or one month like me .

 It has good fundamental many projects be made on ethereum's blockchain with ICO and other business
related smart contract of ethereum in the future ethereum's price will be more expensive.

Investing in an altcoin means you believe in the technology behind its coin. Nowadays, altcoins is no longer projected as a payments or currency, it is more being a proof of ownership of shares from a companies to their Investors. Ethereum and Waves is good for long term investment.
But I want to suggest an alternative. This coin is not ready yet, it is Bowhead Health. A health platform with blockchain technology. I believe health industry is a big market to grow the use of blockchain technology. So I think it will be great to invest in Bowhead Health after the success of last ico another project with same category.

How about ETC and DASH? I think thoes coin are also good way to make investments in because they do have potential to grow up in the future, not so quickly but at least it will rise up

Reading all the posts of you guys,coming to the fact that waves might be the best investement for any altcoins,so got a new idea and sure will invest some on waves now :)

I started investing on waves, ethereum, xem and ltc. I beleive these coins wiill give a huge profit as long term investment. So I buy, hold and for sure I can earn profit in the long run. Invest, save, and earn.

I think you should buy ETH vs XRP because the two coin is very potential in the future. According to my prediction, one to two years you can make 20x profit when investing in this coin

Chinacoin, I heard that they are going to use it as a national currency somewhere, cannot remember where, needs further research.

I can see that ETH and Doge will keep exist on next 2 years since I see their transaction volume quite high also their community feedback

Waves are the ones to hold for a year or two, august-october are some big news and development coming. One of the best coins and most undervalued coin atm.

In my opinion - ETH. And maybe LTC, when price fall down.

I think investment with eth, monero and xrp is the best way you can do. If we see their price action history and volume transaction is stable and sometimes become higher. LTC has broken out above $50 to new highs for the year. It is surely going to $100+ in 2018
or maybe this year itself.

I have done trading with NEM and I can assure you it made a lot of profit for me considering I just invested a little money for it.
If you have that large sum of bitcoin then you might want to take another step and go with its flow.
But you will have to be patient when it comes to NEM. It took a lot of time before I felt the money flowing thru it.
It is just a suggestion and you will still have the final decision whether what altcoin you want to invest with.

honestly for the moment my choise is Ripple, it seems to be the only coin with a real life use case.
