Title: [ANN] Cryptorig.com Custom GPU Mining Rigs
Post by: Cryptorig on May 09, 2013, 09:26:33 AM
CryptoRig.com (http://CryptoRig.com)

About our company:
CryptoRig LLC was founded to design and build gpu mining rigs for crypto coins. With all the recent media coverage there are many newcomers interested in mining that lack the experience or technical knowledge to design and build their own rigs, even with the spectacular guides written by members here. Mining rigs are sold on our website, CryptoRig.com, and on eBay. Our prices are very competitive with only a small profit margin. We also customize and sell hybrid gaming/mining rigs on request. We offer 6 months of free technical support with every sale. This includes overclocking, operational tutorial and demonstration, remote setup and remote assistance. The mining rigs are completely configured and ready to mine right out of the box. Our services are designed to be scalable to our customers experience level, from complete crypto newcomers to experienced miners. We accept orders and payment through our website in the form of Bitcoin payment via BitPay, credit cards, and bank transfer. Our mining rigs ship worldwide, we have clients on every continent. We believe in crypto currencies and want to see the community expand and flourish!

From our founder:
Hello, my name is Michael and I am one of the founders of Crypto Rig LLC.
I really enjoy designing and building rigs for people, one of the rare cases of actually doing what I love. I am doing my best to increase crypto coin awareness in Portland, Oregon where I live and operate my business. To that end I just signed a marketing deal to advertise on over 120 digital billboards locally. I would love to finance bringing Bitcoin ATMs to Portland as well. If you are a like-minded business owner and have an idea for a collaboration or cross promotion I would like to hear from you. We have reached the point where we need to hire people to help develop and expand our interests. We are currently looking for experienced php coders, graphic and web designers to assist with our ongoing growth. If you are an upstanding member of the community and are interested in working with us please send me a message. Thank you!

You are of course welcome to select and pay for any shipping arrangements you like, the postage calculator is for UPS which is competitive in some regions and less so in others.

And talking like this to people is no way to gain clients. Go learn some marketing before you actually try and sell crap.

You're targeting the wrong crowd. You have to target the computer newbie people.

well the cards cost 900 by themselves, and he builds it for you. Go get it from dell then maybe? lol

I'm not sure what 7950s you're looking at, but I've never seen a 7950 go for $900.

The info for mining rigs is free and available in every forum I have ever been in.  I can't imagine why anyone would pay for a rig when 99% of the fun is building it.  Mining is a hobby, otherwise just use the money you would buy the rig with and buy coins instead.

Nice build.  What are the clocks on your 7970s?  Temps are sky high but you're getting good hash.
Just curious as we buy vapor-x at the moment but might go for those dual-x in future as the price difference is quite a bit here.

You're right, no 7950 goes for $900, but 3 do.  ;) I just built a rig with 3 of these same cards, and it cost me $1,200. I probably bought a few things I didn't need, but it was my first. The next one will cost me much less.  :)

gpu0 1080@1490 1.131v
gpu1 1050@1470 1.119v bad asic, so temperature is worse even on lower voltage/freq :(
gpu2 1100@1499 1.150v

In response to all of your comments:
I really appreciate the constructive criticism that some of you left. However when people call my product crap and call me a chump I am not going to take it lying down. I treat my customers well, but people that are disrespectful are not customers that I want to have. I wasn't expecting many mining rig clients from these forums because most people know how to build rigs themselves. I am attempting to make connections as a business that accepts Bitcoins. Reading the forums I see a lot of camaraderie and people working together to advance crypto coin development, awareness and acceptance. I am also adding powered risers to my website and thought that some of you might need those for your own builds. For people that don't know how to build or configure a rig, and don't have the time or inclination to learn, a service like this is the only way to get involved in mining. A preconfigured mining rig is not something you can pick up at the local computer store. If you could buy a rig and tech support with setup from a big-box store it would cost much more than we are charging. My prices and technical support are better than my competitors. Around $1500 in parts goes in to these builds, whoever said they can get this for $900 please share that info with all of us. Anyone that thinks that these rigs are overpriced after taking into account the cost of providing tech support for 6 months, parts, and overhead has obviously never run a business before. Whether you experienced rig builders see the value of this product and service or not there is still a market out there for it and we are one of the best companies around. I welcome additional constructive comments!

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, that is not our listing. Just another of the numerous people that have copied our ad and are charging more than we do. I have not heard back from anyone who claimed to be able to build this identical rig with all the same brand new parts for less than $1300. No one is able to back up their claims?

With all the recent media coverage there are many newcomers interested in mining that lack the experience or technical knowledge to design and build their own rigs

The best advice would be... "don't". At $2000 for 1800KH/s, at $0.18/kWh, 5% diminishing return each month for diff increase (ya right), over 2 years to pay off the device.

Miner telling other miners not to mine... You are assuming in your calculations that the exchange rate of all crypto coins will stay the same over 2 years. There were numerous times when bitcoin was under $50 that people made similar assumptions and said "it's not worth it" and "don't bother". Then there are the crypto coin millionaires. You are entitled to your opinion, but there are more appropiate threads to voice them in. Let's try to stay on topic here. Thanks

I would like to make note, that a few days ago, I accidentally gave CryptoRig negative trust, based on an IP confirm that he was an Alt of a confirmed scammer. He brought it to my attention, and due to a cognative lapse, I labeled him instead of Crypto4rig

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=124037

Sorry about that Crypto, I hope that anyone who saw the negative trust sees this, and its cleared up.
