Well I played SatoshiDice for a while and got from 2.3BTC to 2.9BTC and then back to 2.1BTC. So, it really depends. Set a maximum amount of BTC you want to spend and quit on time. Gambling can be fun and exciting, but it's not a useful way of gaining money.
