Post by: cochranizer666 on July 04, 2017, 07:21:00 PM I know AdFly is probably sensitive to talk about in Bitcoin forum, but in my opinion, open source software, such as Bitcoin Core, could use a bit of help from AdFly or AdFocus, in terms of funding their mission to keep it free. When a link is clicked on, an advertisement plays, and once the user clicks "Skip Ad," the developers will get ad revenue while the software downloads.

Most users won't want to follow ad-filled links to download an open source application. Besides, most open source projects are hosted on something like GitHub anyway which offers direct downloads.
