Chinese government decided to legalize ethereum in their country soon, On May 27, Huobi, one of the three leading bitcoin exchanges in China alongside BTCC and OKCoin, officially integrated support for Ethereum trading. The Huobi development team announced that users will be able to trade Ethereum starting from  May 31.
Do you think that ehtereum will cross bitcoin soon??

What do you mean cross bitcoin? If the price will rise over bitcoin, I think everything is possible. However, eth needs more time because the bitcoin price also rises steadily. More and more bitcoin apps are created and more people accept bitcoin. Some countries has legalized bitcoin as currency like Australia. Many offline shop also accept bitcoin. I think eth needs more time to overlap the price.

It is possible some coins could be higher than bitcoin, byteball just keeps rising, it will never go down. Ethereum, omni, gnosis, zcash all have a chance to beat bitcoin if it crashes. A good news for the ETH though it is a old news. As we can see, after May 27, the price of ETH has pump a lot and more and more ICO projects use ETH as a method of buying tokens.

My thoughts as well. Seems like some of the big fish want to pump ETH, so they can dump a part of their secret stash. AT this point, it must be remembered that unlike the case with Bitcoin, only a minority of the ETH coins are trading in free-float. This is one of the reasons why the market cap of ETH has risen so much.

Yes I've heard about this one and it is really cool that the country of businessmen will welcome eth in their arms. Also I want to add that Japan will not tax anymore the bitcoin users. And we are close to cryptocurrency world. I'm also looking forward to it though.

Of course not, eth would never cross bitcoin. It's just a good news for eth player that Chinese goverment support eth as alternative payment, nothing else. See eth price action is still far away from cross bitcoin, need more time maybe a decade. If I see news like this, I'll buy some eth for investment, just like that. Good luck.

Who knows aboutabout  what will happen in next hour with Eth and Bitcoin, though it take time to cross bitcoin but it is no impossible. But on the other hand bitcoin also  legalize in some countries, some companies are now accepting bitcoin as a payment so Eth would give a tough time to be at no 1 in crypto world.

though many people who enter the market early believe that bitcoin lives long as the king, but to many newbie, i think they prefer to eth, because they can benefit more

Yet despite news like this, ETH value is down on all exchanges. So much FUD surrounding ETH right now this type of news now means nothing.

Good news to Ethereum. China is a very big market and Chinese government have a lot of money.

Ethereum is awesome coin ,made us Bitcoin lovers to fork our precious coin.Its good to have a competitor and advance and become better.

But I do not trust ether too much with their ICO

China says a bunch of things, the progress where they announce things about Bitcoin in the most positive view is very slow compared to the other Countries that are already talking about legalizing Bitcoin. If China does legalize Ethereum then it would make their view on Bitcoin a little weird.

This is a positive note for Ethereum and the whole altcoin market. Not too far off we'll see more and more countries and businesses accepting a wider range of altcoins which is a great boost for the whole industry.

If China is going to legalize ETH then what about ETC? Technically they're the same, so there might be an argument that ETC could get automatically legalized too. What if there are future splits in Ethereum?

Wow, that's great. People in china now are very happy of that good news because they can easily withdraw their money by converting ethereum into real money without using bitcoin so now we all know that ethereum is the next of bitcoin.

so ethereum will have strong back up than before and the price will be increase more. i think this is why there many new project with based on ethereum. but i don't think that ethereum will be cross bitcoin because ethereum needs more power to do this and i think they can't. but its depend on how market will react about this especially in huobi market as we know that huobi is the largest market in china beside of okcoin.

Finally some good news for eth which has been really low after the hoax. I don't know if you all find this funny but earlier when bitcoin was on a peak of reaching 1000$ how china had quickly resisted it by saying investing in bitcoin was risky which always made china investors panicing and price fell and now they are adopting eth which is next best after bitcoin. I do feel there is a catch to this but eventually it will help the price recover within few months.

What a great news for those People who holds Etherium, I was surprised that China do legalize ETH than Bitcoin and its really a good innovation and we should really expect price increase on ETH when this even would happen. ETH can really possible cross bitcoin but it would really takes time. People do think of on competition between this two coins but i would say it isnt needed and we should be glad since we do really have some options.

Where ethereal is a new service in crypto, now it has its own market.
I am convinced that the opening of ethhereal trading market in China will be followed by other countries and make ethereal to its peak.
To pass the bitcoin I think it's really hard for ethereal in the near future,
But in a few years it will be a bitter rival for bitcoin.

Even though it's a old news but I found platform or website where I can read about cryptonews after may only ethereum pumped too much . I could have read article it's really good move.but crossing bitcoin I don't think it's possible with ether.

government revealed that it is in discussions to launch its own digital currency, before that they wanted to adopt bitcoin, nothing happened,
Chinese are playing some games with alt-coins.
   If China legalize Ethereum that can be a huge boost for Ethereum, China is big country, they have strong exchange site, many people involved
in mining different alt-coin. I will not believe in this until I see it happening, with Chinese anything can happen, what stops them from making their
own alt-coin?

This may help ETH without a doubt but ultimately a Chinese based company will end up ruling china. I have quite a few friends in China and all of the talk is about Antshares/Neo. Chinese like to support Chinese products and innovation, partly due to national pride and supporting "local", mostly due to government regulation. Ever try to use facebook with someone from China?? I'm invested into both so either way let it rise.

The news is a bit strange because some time ago china resisted the existence of bitcoin and now want to adopt ethereum.
This is one of China's tactics in rejection which is a decrease in bitcoin value.
Very clever and will definitely have a big impact on ethereum, so increasing the value of ethereum will affect the diminished value of bitcoin.

China has been using Bitcoin way before ETH. I don't think ETH price is crossing bitcoin price anytime soon. Bitcoin is way more famous than ETH. We'll have to see how well ETH holds once market settles down in September

What you mean legalize,bitcoin and digital currencys are legal in China with term digital goods.Etherum become popular in China but it will be not nothing special

Rather than China's exchanges' attempts, we need Korean exchanges' attempts to legalize ethereum. Because Korean market is the best booming market for Ethereum and they invest in it like crazy. I personally don't think Chinese government let ethereum to be legal in their country. Reality.

This is something we have been seeing about this or that government will do this soon, but my question is "when" exactly and that's what matter or else, everything is just some form of speculation to influence price from the way I see it because it will then connotes that the price of ETH will soar soon but will then be short lived when the legalization didn't eventually happen and another news is released for everyone to talk about and forget about the news of China intending legalization of ETH.

China is always the biggest markets in the world, but about Ethereum, I don't think it will cross Bitcoin soon, if Ethereum can do what Bitcoin have done, it will cross Bitoin in a far future, maybe 20 - 30 years later.

i don't know if this si a good or bad news, because while this can be good for holders of ETH it can also be bad because there will be asic soon for it, because the marketcap is attracting many miners that want to invest, also it's bad for bitcoin because will rise competition, and steal bitcoin investors

Bitcoin has had problem for years between the core and community, survival of the fittest.If ETH win , that's result of natural selection.

If you mean ethereum will surpass bitcoin soon by saying "ehtereum will cross bitcoin soon" if your topic, I don't think this might happen. I also don't understand how they name the attempt of some chinese exchanges as legalizing ethereum in China.

I hope China and Russia are both bullish on the legalization of Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Bitcoin yes they had problem until these years but its still stands strong. I dont think there is competition between the two, as for me I think even ethereum will going to legalize soon by china still there are many investors in bitcoin. Thus, lets watch and see what will gonna happen if this would be implemented.

Today many projects are using Ethereum contracts. So it's good that china legalizes Ethereum.
