Ethereum is seeing a downward trend for quite a few days now, hovering at 260$ right now. I suspect this will go upto about 240$ before starting an upward trend again. What do you guys think? Is this the right time to buy, hold, or sell ethereum?

I have different feelings about this because ethereum price can crash very soon as the miners will move to Ethereum Classic.

0.09 is not a bad price if the bitcoin price will be increased after 1st August but 0.05 is the crash that I expect to happen in the upcoming months.

Maybe wait a little longer and as you assume it would really goes lower even more on upcoming hours,days and so on. depending on the movement. Checking on technical analysis its still on downward trend and i cant see some indication on uptrend again so thats the time we bought cheaper ETH. Even on this time we can buy it since its considered as dips but remember always the risk on buying.

i think the same, i see we need to wait a moment to buy ethereum and make sure there is down trend so we can buy ethereum with cheap price. i really don't until how much the price is down but my feeling, the price is just for correction only and it will increase again. the correction is followed with bitcoin price which is down also.

Good Time to buy in my opinion. With the upcoming eth based promissing icos and the btc august 1st Event my guess is that eth will rise again soon

5$ per eth I guess it will be a good price to buy, although, remembering all the premine.... Nah, 1$ per eth and maybe I will buy some just for fun.

I just hope it does not end up going too low to never come back up and get crushed by the other dominating altcoins so I'm calling it will fall off to around $200 per coin and stabilise around that mark for a while.

there is so much stuff going on with eth at the moment both good and bad and in terms of how low it will go maybe my wild guess would be 200 dollars and in extreme scenarios made $150

It's a buy and HODL now you know that ethereum is vastly use at this time so whenever it is down trend it will go up fast last week it happens that fakes news is broadcasted at social media that the creator of bitcoin has been dead you see that down trend is fast approaching. But as my opinion that even the creator was not there it will continue to grow just like bitcoin just put markets on it and continue its legacy it would take the uptrend and make it to the top.

Ethereum is just having casual dump depending upon the current market situation. ETH is very stubborn currency now a days and it is getting investment response from all over the community. The ETH is new bitcoin in que to get recognised as top most currency of world. It will also have prices equivalent to bitcoin in the future. The current dumps are not big thing, and ETH will most probably go up sooner than we think.

We share the same opinion mate, could possibly go up to $300 in a week or two.

Indeed the price of ETH has decreased.
I think it's better to hold back the ETH I have, and buy ETH when the price is low.
For this year may be the end of the year ETH prices will soar up as this year's coin prices rose so fantastically.
And then I will sell again when the price is rising rapidly.

Its rare to find downward trend in ethereum . I think it wont go below 200$ and will rise again very high. Good time to buy more eth for future profit.

You might be waiting a while for Ethereum to get to that price because there’s a bunch of people using Ethereum while the price of it is high. There’s also a bunch of contracts that need Ethereum to survive so their coin can stay alive within the harsh market of Cryptocurrencies. If people like to use Bitcoin then I am sure that they know about Ethereum, so it will be pretty tough to get the coin to dump.

Articles like - https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/ether-price-analysis-decrease-buy-volume-pushes-price-lower/ , make me feel nervous holding ETH at least in the short term, am moving my ETH holdings to alternate coin at least until we see how the rest of this month plays out with regards SegWit, am tempted to move all to USDT and wait it out to be honest.

I think ETH will remain in the $200 for me. There are many ICO's that are still offering ETH as payment so I don't think that it can go down further from $200. There will be still enough investors to get it and put in it any ICO they choose. But I think it will be very hard to ETH to rise again in the
$300-$400 price. So if you can go out and exit and not be trap then I can surely advise you to do so.

I dont think it will go any lower. I am holding on to my 70 ETH and since it has been quite stable at the current level now, i expect it to go up to $350 and due to news on Casper will go up even more.

If miners move, ETH supply will drop and ETH price may or may not go up depending on how demand behaves.

If all these new ICOs that are based on it are successful and change part of the paradigm for business and other things, then ETH will skyrocket.

I think with all of this ICO, ETH can go to as low as $200 for me.  I don't think it can go lower than down because there are a lot of ICO popping around like every week. So ETH will not go away that fast because it will be supported by this ICO. But I don't think it can't go to where its previous ATH though. A lot of investors has already dumped their ETH already.

If we are going to see $4 per coin, many other altcoins will follow this drop and this trend will not finish until maybe 2018 or maybe even longer. This will affect all coins not onlt ETH. Maybe the price will continue to drop but $4 per coin is very very pretentious prediction.

I suggest buy an ethereum coin right now because for sure this july it will recover ethereum and it will back to the price of 350 dollars each. Hold your ethereum and dont sell it. I hope ethereum will not decrease at 200 dollars . I believe ethereum will increase before end of this year 2017 at 1000 dollars if this happen for sure I'll make a lot of money . More ethereum more money.

Other coins (assets/tokens) are keeping the ETH at this position and that's why ethereum will be used for a long time from now.

But the price is what matters most for the miners and for the traders but from what I predict I think that we will see ETH at 0.05 very soon.

Would love to hear a timeline of events for how that could happen. If a single ICO builds a product consumers at almost any scale use, we won't see it dip anywhere near that. Curious in any thoughts!

I believe on ethereum will not go down $200 as this is being used on most ico projects. This means that ethereum is still needed, so Im hoping it will pump again its price. Because even me Im trading also this coin. Well lets see Ethereum how far it can go.

Aside ETH, a couple of other Altcoins are seeing a downward trend, this is just a bad time for cryptos. But on the case if ETH, I think it will still go down more to about $190-$200. Since we have some ICOs using ETH, the chance of it coming up is quite there, but only if the ICOs attain a degree of success. Buying now is a viable option as per say, but quite RISKY as no one can predict the future.

Though we cant predict the future of Ethereum, Im hoping it will recover again. As we all know ethereum has come along way and still stands for years. So, if it will drop below $200 I do believe it will rise again.

I expect prices down to $175 and its around. People see this impossible but it's not. Remember ethereum came here from $50 guys. The reverse of the action is pottentially coming.

Of course yes,ETH  is being used on most ico projects which makes it very popular,but nevertheless perhaps that has caused the fall in its price somehow,the peoples change their ETH for token,then its are sold in the market more than can be bought and I think that's why the price is declining,if we rely on that,at that rate the price could still continue to decline the is how far it can go down.

Are thinking the total supply of the ethereum depends on the miner? you may wrong dude, but you already known that the ethereum will move to the pos system that gives the possibility to stop the more dump by the miners. The miners move just caused by there is no benefits to mine ethereum again or you are not able to mining ethereum again.

Ehtereum going down i bought some ether for the price around 180$ all altcoins are going down trend lots of coins are dumped i hope even it may reach 150$ or less if it reaches i will bag some more ether.

get some popcorn and wait BTC hasnt even started to fall and when that happends you can expect even cheaper ETH (or any other coin for that matter)

Its price decreaed but I still think it's expensive now. Eth price between $150 - $200 would be fair and good enought to invest money. People were amazed with $350-400 eth price but that era already ended.
