Title: POST BEING REMOVED WITHOUT VIOLATING TERMS OF USE POLICY
Post by: stoniestfool on July 06, 2017, 05:04:28 AM
To whom it may concern,
I am really baffled here. A few of my comments just disappear days after I have posted.I never use foul language. However, I will call out a scam when I see it. Although, those are not the posts that were removed.
If someone starts a post. Specifically in altcoin announcement are they allowed to remove any comment they want. 3 post that I know of have been removed from pascal lite announcement post. 2 were not mine but just disappeared a day or 2 after. They are still viewable on google cache. The one called out the pool for inconsistent hashrates. The second questions blocktimes?
I do hours of research a day. Reading how new coins will be minted. What the premine is. Reviewing there lead members public profiles. Thoroughly research before making an investment. Is this useless to post warnings to member if these comments are just removed?
Thanks for your time.

If you are posting in a "self-moderated" thread, the owner of that thread can delete your post for any reason

You can't expect scammers to sit there and let you ruin their "business".   ;)

Relax, dude.  Most people have some of their posts deleted at some point.  And as mentioned,  if it's a self-moderated thread you can expect that, especially if you're calling out a scam.  Don't let it bother you--or if you do let it bother you,  there's no need to start a thread like this in the future.  We're all just guests on this extremely imperfect forum.  If they don't ban you, you're basically doing OK.

Nope. Not necessarily since the one who deleted might not be a forum staff. The OP might be the one who deleted it since the topic is somehow a self-moderated one like what was mentioned above.

Thanks for the reply all. I did not know they could do that. Shady as hell. My post that was removed explained how anyone could aquire a pasl account. It was actually helpful. The other members message rightful bashed the pool for obviously scamming. Anyway, I have dumped my pasl to move onto better things. Made a decent buck. It is a shitcoin at best. The thing I really do not like is that a user could get a pasl account and accidentally try to send pasc there. Since the account numbers are the same on both blockchains the user would send pasc to someone else's account. This happened twice that I know off. Maybe I'll make a self moderating post about that coin.

Incorrect. If your post was deleted, then you will be notified via PM regardless of who deleted it. It will always be a message from "Bitcoin Forum" which contains a quote of the post that was deleted. The only time you are not notified of a "deletion" is when a thread is moved to the trashcan, which is technically not deleting posts but rather moving a thread to a different section which only staff can access.

Isn't it applicable only when a staff deleted your comment? So if OP who started a self-moderated topic deleted a user's reply (post) then you will also receive a message? If so, then I'll apologize for the wrong information since I didn't encounter it and what I know is that you will receive a message when a forum staff is the one who deleted your reply. I'm glad to learn new things!  ;D

I experiencedt this too when I was a newbie.
I got pm by the forum then
I realized that my post was already answered by other people.
So it's useless.

I'm glad that I didn't got banned so Im trying to become more careful now.

I've experienced the same.

Called someone out for doing this:

the link says it's coin.ph :D

Quoted for reference.

Op, sorry for hi-jacking your thread.

Edit:

It isn't a self-moderated thread.
