Title: New to the bitcoin
Post by: alastairbrian on July 06, 2017, 08:17:42 AM
Hi, I am new to the bitcoin and other currencies. Truthfully, bitcoin is not in my reach as it is expensive but I have heard about another currency ONECOIN whose rates are in my reach. Please let me know that ONCCOIN is reliable to buy or it is risk taking?

nobody is forcing you to buy 1000BTC!

you can go on any exchange and buy a fraction of bitcoin which means you can even buy 20 dollar worth of bitcoin if $20 is "in your reach".
and $20 is equal to 0.0077BTC at current rates.

and about ONECOIN i have to say i am not familiar with it, i can't even find it on coinmarketcap.com to be able to tell you anything! can you tell us where is it being traded?!

Why choosing the other alt coins if you can choose directly the usual crypto currency. If I were you better to invest to bitcoin, the price of it is assuming going to increase soon. That's why it's going to give you some profit and that will definitely going to be one of the best coin for you to buy.

I have heard about onecoin but all I can hear is that coin is a scam and not even listed in coinmarketcap . . . So if I were you just stick to bitcoin you can buy it even in a small denomination since you are still a newbie do not invest all your money right away.. Read and do your research.

My advice is better buy bitcoin for investment land
For beginners like you,
Many coins whose development is not significant even make you fall in ruin
investation.
Learn first the portfolio of the coin, then you take a decision whether to invest or find another better coin

Bitcoin is not too expensive. A lot of people thought the same @ $250, look at the price now, buy whatever you can afford. Please avoid onecoin at all cost, it has been exposed as global MLM ponzi scheme.

That's right. Bitcoin is constantly grow, so if you will not hurry to buy at least 0.1 BTC is going to be too expansive to you.
I have never heard about ONECOIN, I am investing by little to LTC, everybody will say you that it's slowly, but the most trustworthy.

You are not forced to but the whole Bitcoin worth 2600$ at this moment, if you have 26$, you can still buy an amount of Bitcoin and start using that Bitcoin to do whatever you want to do with them.

Never but never buy Onecoin ! This is not a crypto-currency like Bitcoin or Litecoin, this is a scam to rob you your money ! In fact what exactly it is is a ponzi scheme, which means some people will scam you, and you scam other people. Truly this is bad :(...

Bitcoin is the most trusted coin or cryptocurrency that existed. Dont trust on other coins. Some altcoins or also called as alternative coins are trusted but some are not. You are a newbie and you should go on a trusted one. Try bitcoin and hodl it for 5 yrs and boom instant millionaire.

Well you don't really have to buy a whole bitcoin if you can't afford it,
You could just buy some satoshi that is the smallest fraction of bitcoin .
But since you are just new in crypto currency I would like to suggest that you should stick to bitcoin first, since there are plenty of scam coin out there.

I wouldn't buy a new coin even if it's cheap. I only trade alt coins and keep all my money on bitcoin. You're not forced to biy a 1 bitcoin. You can buy with any amount you have. I once bought only 0.1 btc before and now i'm keeping aroun 1 btc circulating in my different earning methods. ;D

You don't have to buy one whole bitcoin. You can start by buying low/fraction amount of bitcoin. Still has a value of it self. Try buying some bitcoins and try investing on some other alt coins. Haven't heard of the coin you are talking about, but you can go with LTC or Doge coin if you want.

You can get more free Bitcoin, that is, smaller units of Bitcoin, in a few minutes than you can of this ONECoIN, I am sure. There things called faucets. I start with them and now do other things like small jobs. I even sent a story on this forum for 15 minutes of my time and got 0.01 BTC,,, you can check my history, it was what brought me here.

I don't know ONECOIN and I don't even want to look to see what it is all about. I know it is not worth anybody's time.

Sorry, I can't stop laughing when read your thread ;D. You can buy an altcoin on market in under top 100 coinmarketcap , but never invest to Onecoin, this is a scam coin and devs this project are wanted by India goverment!!!

You can buy Bitcoin first because need Bitcoin to buy other altcoin in exchange site as Poloniex, Bittrex ...

If according to my suggestion. You should buy a stronger Altcoin and a good market. If you have not been able to buy bitcoin. There are some Altcoin that have more value and its function is close to bitcoin. One of them ETH, Litecoin and many others. But you must be good at seeing prospects of coins that will be bought for the foreseeable future

Welcome to the crypto world. You don't need to buy a full bitcoin. It can be 0.01, 0.1, 0.5 etc. Don't touch ONECOIN. It has been banned in several countries including China, Italy, USA and many others for being a pyramid scheme. Recently, Germany's Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) issued cease and desist orders against OneCoin partners operating in Germany. You can also buy Litecoin which has been around for quite a good time.

Yeah, as the mate mentioned though it seems out of your reach try to buy that you can afford, because with bitcoin the growth is assured, when growth happens automatically the profit will be yours. So don't invest into such scam coins. If you wish to invest in altcoins, just go through the different exchanges and find the potential coin and invest.

Welcome, one of the great things about bitcoin is that it really is for everyone.  You do not have to purchase a whole bitcoin you can buy an amount as small as $10 in bitcoin so it would look something like this 0.004.

Please stay away from Onecoin it is a complete scam and a lot of the representatives have been arrested https://cointelegraph.com/news/onecoin-much-scam-18-seminar-organizers-arrested-3-mln-seized-in-onecoin-india-raids

If you are looking for other coins there is an alternative section on this forum and you can also check out a lot of the coins and their marketcap and history https://coinmarketcap.com/all/views/all/

I wouldn't want to purchase Onecoin as well because that project is very slow. Even if Onecoin someday gets their stuff together and makes their payment system legit, they still required people to wait months before they can trade like .1 coins or something in their Onecoin exchange due to a KYC verification issue.

Onecoin is also centralized so that's the opposite of what Bitcoin is if people didn't know that already, don't invest in it.

ONEcoin has been marked as a fraudulent coin, so I think you should stay away from it, there are many other altcoin that can help you make a profit.

You can buy fraction of bitcoins. You don't need to own a whole bitcoin. But if you are talking about investing and making profit, then that's a different story.
Please let me know that ONCCOIN to buy or risk taking?
Just googled ONECOIN. Its a shitty scammy coin based on ponzie. Try googling for yourself. You will know what I am saying.
